Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • These headphones do a great job at isolating sound and enabling me to hear my music well while playing my drums.
  • They do a nice job of sealing against the head and when they worked, they were great
  • They do a great job of muffling and quieting ambient noise even without audio playing.
  • The headphones do a great job of blocking out ambient noise and the sound quality through the headset is great
  • These do a great job at passively eliminating noise while allowing you to hear your metronome (or a mix from a soundboard) perfectly.

Reviews around protection (5.00 of 5)

  • Some comments say they are snug fitting (yes, that's hearing protection)and maybe delicate (as all consumer electronics are)Have to be gentle with them
  • I've only used these without being plugged into a board so far but they offer great hearing protection and better feel for the bass drum/snare.
  • Great sound and ear protection, while at the same time having the ability to listen to music so you can play along and still hear your drums as you play along, or just use them on their own to protect your ears
  • The sound protection it provides while playing drums is great, and it's nice you can pump in some music to play along to, or send your mics into it to hear the rest of the band or yourself.
  • Overall, though, both headhones are great products and offer fantastic hearing protection and decent sound, although I'd have to give the Howard Leight set the edge on bass, versatility, and price.

Reviews around product (4.73 of 5)

  • This product is perfect for practicing my instrument of choice which is the drums
  • They won't blast it out at high volume like the expensive products out there, but I have caused enough damage to my hearing as it is! ;-)
  • I would recommend this product to all drummers, it is essential
  • Still a decent product that I would recomend for any ony wanting to play along to music while drumming.
  • This product is awesome, i can hear my music or the metronome at a ok volume, and my drums as well

Reviews around isolation (4.60 of 5)

  • Sound isolation is good, but the speakers have no low end whatsoever.
  • The most isolated isolation headphones I've experienced yet.
  • The isolation is pretty damn good but not quite enough for me on the drumkit.
  • These headphones provide great sound isolation at an affordable price
  • These headphones are sturdily built with good sound and excellent isolation.

Reviews around price (4.55 of 5)

  • All around a great buy... well worth the price for how much it's reduced my daily stress.
  • Good isolation (not the best, but good enough), good price, they seem built pretty solid
  • just goes to show that you can't get a good pair of headphones at a cheap price.
  • I can not recommend buying these, even at the great price because of the tight fitting ear cups and the broken wires in the cord.
  • These headphones provide great sound isolation at an affordable price

Reviews around headset (4.33 of 5)

  • They have a pretty good sound output and the headset cuts out the perfect amount of decibels for you to still play drums and have a normal conversation
  • but you can move it forwards or backward or just elevate so that its not touching your head and dont worry the headset won't
  • Overall a great headset that allows me to practice with clarity!
  • i bought these noise-canceling headsets to wear when drumming.
  • I like them for airlines where my other headsets were still not good enough.

Reviews around hear (3.61 of 5)

  • Isolation headphones are a must have for any musician who wants to play along to clear music without destroying their hearing over time, and I haven't seen any other headphones that compare to these in durability, sound, and price
  • While drumming, they allow me to hear the drums as well as the music, all while protecting my hearing
  • The isolate the performer from the volume of the drums and help protect hearing
  • After ten years of drumming, I can honestly say that I have lost significant hearing in both ears
  • Before suggesting that my ears are the issue, I make sure to protect my hearing every time I

Reviews around sound (3.54 of 5)

  • These headphones are sturdily built with good sound and excellent isolation.
  • the isolated sound well and were fairly comfortable as well as had a good sound to them.
  • As they isolate their own sound very well, this is HIGHLY APPARENT
  • They isolate sound great and are perfect for drumming and recording

Reviews around quality (3.46 of 5)

  • I feel like usually these types of isolation headphones have very poor sound quality, but these headphones do not.
  • If you are looking for headphones with good sound quality to listen to music to, you're looking at the wrong headphones.
  • So, if you can deal with the pinch, I highly recommend these headphones for noise reduction and sound quality.
  • Other than that, they are great for recording also, and the sound quality is very good, too
  • The sound quality is pretty good but the bass is lacking

Reviews around thing (3.39 of 5)

  • It's a great isolation headphone, the only thing that could be better is if the cable was like the sennheiser hd 280
  • It isnt a bad thing but think about it, who sings but never sings loud
  • and when i put these things on it definitely isolates sound, and its just perfect to me to practice my drumsthe sound of my drums where just loud enough for me to hear,
  • It's a great isolation headphone, the only thing that could be better is if the cable was like the sennheiser hd 280
  • The other nice thing about the Leights is that you can unplug the cord, so you can just use them as hearing protection without a cord if you don't need to listen to music too

Reviews around ear (3.20 of 5)

  • Great sound and ear protection, while at the same time having the ability to listen to music so you can play along and still hear your drums as you play along, or just use them on their own to protect your ears
  • These headphones help block out the sound and protect your ears
  • Whether you get these or other headphones, protect your ears, you only have one pair.
  • so I could play to a backing track while actually being able to hear the music and protect my ears.
  • Some over ear headphones distort outside sound horribly

Reviews around wire (1.61 of 5)

  • I bought one of these, and after a year or so of relatively careful use one of the speakers started cutting in and out like there was a loose wire
  • I don't know if there is a way to open up the headphones to see if there are loose wires, but I don't know how to open without breaking
  • I the was able to see that the wire where it goes into the ear piece through the plastic strain relief had broken (from repeated flexing no doubt) and I spliced it and more or less got the thing back together but not like new
  • If the headphones fail (and let's face it, eventually any wire will die), you only have to buy a new pair of headphones
  • I have had a pair of these for 4 years , the only issue being the loose wire which happens if the cable is caught or snagged....plenty of you tube clips showing how to repair them
