There are a rare few that can be cheaper and a few others in this range, but the visual quality is the most important in an IPS panel

The sound comes from the monitor itself, naturally, and that quality is not quite as good as the external sound system I had hooked up to my old monitor, but it is certainly adequate and keeps me from having to make yet another connection with all the wires that includes.
