The tone is clean and rich and sounds, to me, like an expensive amp.

Better off turning your amp really low, and if you don't have an amp, almost better to just try finding a really quiet place and playing it totally unplugged.

Would love to buy each version but if you add up the total price for all six you can buy a decent solid state amp with a headphone jack built in.

Folks, this portable amp blew me away.

I have a great pre amp built into my bass, and this has been able to handle it active or passively.

Especially if you live in an apartment or are a fraid of waking up your neighbors with a loud amp, now you can comfortably play loudly just for yourself :)

I switched between my Fender Champ 40 (solid state) amp and this VOX several times and didn't notice a difference in my headphones

I bought the VOX amPlug 2 Classic Rock headphone amp after buying and returning the Danelectro HoneyTone mini amp

A very good amp for the price and definitely a good choice if you want to play outdoors without carrying too much things, just the guitar, your headphones and this beauty.
