The ability to jam along with the mp3 player input is a great feature
Incredible sound and features, over 2 years later its still going strong
This adds more useful features and I swear the clean sound on this thing even into a $10 Bluetooth speaker is a beautiful thing
The amPlug comes with cool extra features like audio input for practicing with an mp3 player or smartphone, and basic effects (reverb, delay, vibrato, chorus)
This wonderful device allows him to plug his headphones in and play his guitar as loud as he wants, but I never hear a thing.
This is aN excellent tool to practice without a full amp
Definitely best practice tool to not bother anyone in the house.
Less good: tone and volume are noise, plastic case made is fragile, handle and connect in and out with care or you will break it.i highly recommend it, nice small tool for practicing with the power just for you.
Nonetheless for the amount of money I paid it is a great practice tool that does not require me to carry an amp around
Great silent practice tool, now I can play and not anger the wife :)
Is it possible that I have a bad device and other Amplug Bass models would be less noisy?
This little device is great for those late nights when the kids are in bed and you feel like jamming.
This is an amazing little device which I reviewed on my blog at lifeafter40-dot-net
Really neat little device, great for practice on the couch.
I love this little device,so easy to use & having many features that bass players may appreciate such as drum patterns (though a little limited).I play as loud as i like without disturbing anyone,& hearing the different tone of my
Must have, This thing has gotten me to playing my electric so much more that my acoustic must be thinking I have died... or it has died and is a ghost because I walk by it
I'm a big fan of Vox and have a number of their products but this thing is junk
The problem this thing has is that the maximum volume is far too low
What a shame as this thing had promise, just poorly made, and now without the ability to get my money back.
I am actually a little amazed at how good this thing sounds.
It also comes with a few serviceable effects (chorus, delay, reverb) that can be switched on and off, but there are only a couple of presets for each, and no mix, so you're pretty much left with effect on/off
Great sound and the effects are much better than expected.
the built in effects (chorus, delay and reverb) are pretty much decent, especially the reverb which matters the most at least for me
The effects all really sound nice and the line in is awesome
I like that each effect has three variations so you can dial in different chorus, reverb or delay effects
This works best if you have a guitar with an jack mounted on the face like an SG or a Stratocaster.
I caught my headphone cords when I stood up and the device pulled apart which ripped the jack off and a wire on the inside got dislodged (my fault I guess)
the jack physically came loose, have to wiggle and jiggle to get a connection
The swivel jack also allows me to ensure I'm not scratching the finish on the guitar (either bottom jack or top jack works).
I got this to use with a Traveler Ultra-light Guitar for trips and quiet practice ... the jack in the Traveler seems touchy at best, which doesn't help, but even when I was getting good, solid signal, I wasn't too happy with the sound through the VOX.
There definitely is some minor static noise coming off of this
Tried it in an electric and an acoustic electric that don't have a static noise on other amps
Lot of static noise when you move the tone knob to have a more bright sound
Less good: tone and volume are noise, plastic case made is fragile, handle and connect in and out with care or you will break it.i highly recommend it, nice small tool for practicing with the power just for you.
I got great tone for that, and some easy tweaks I get my Priest tone holy S..t!Another bonus, you can get more sounds out of it if you simply plug it into your pedal
The point where the plug meets the plastic came lose and the connection broke.

When I started using it more regularly, it quickly reached the point of being completely broken, and now that I've ripped it out of my bass and thrown it across the room that's pretty much the end of it
