I used the clean setting with a les paul and an old vintage Rat pedal, and that is the best the Rat has ever sounded

I also bought an effects pedal and a nice set of headphones

The Clean setting is bright and crisp while Overdrive gives you all you are looking for in a Vox amp

You get a very easy set up

The "overdrive" setting is cool too
