You have to crank it to do those things and solid state amps just don't sound as good maxed as they do at mid levels

It has great tone for a small solid state amp.

A bad one was a little solid state Peavey I got at a pawn shop in 95', it was about 15 watts, had no volume,

However, the reality is all low end solid state practice amps are terrible for tube amp folks

I own 3 other tube Amps (Ampeg, Fuchs and Blackheart) and 2 or 3 (2 Marshall, Roland) solid states.

I much prefer to use this amp as a practice amp: it's lightweight, loud enough, great clean sounds, takes my pedal board great, and it's solid state: no tubes to replace

It is a $70 - 10w solid state amp

Can't comment on reliability, but the only solid state amp I've owned that ever failed was one I dropped off my boat

Sure, it doesn't get blisteringly loud, so you probably won't be performing with it anytime soon, but it does get loud enough to jam with a small group, probably with a drummer (as long as he doesn't thunder away as loud as he can).You really cannot beat this amp for 70 bucks.
