This item replaces lesser model of same brand that had an annoying "beeping" issue.

I’ll turn the sound down because this monitor is always in VOX mode, however if mom starts talking or needs me it will make a loud beep to let me know that something is going on in her room, sound clarity is excellent and if you have a parent that needs looked after- get this- walkie-talkies tend to confuse her with all the buttons plus you also pick up all kinds of outside interference and this really gets her confused

It’s nice that the parent one beeps if the child one is disconnected (aka not on due to device not holding a charge) or you will be woken up by low

They work well for a few months or maybe a year, then they start to lose connection and beep and wake you up 2 or 3 times per week.

However, randomly, the parent unit will start its annoying beep and say "not linked" this happens infrequently, but often enough (several times a week) to be super annoying
