Wampler Pinnacle Standard Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal

    • I love both the tone and contour at 11 o'clock and the gain at about 1.
    • I was able to get a near exact tone with the Pinnacle by manipulating the tone and contour
    • For a distortion box, it has very versatile tone
    • Has a great Marshall rhythm tone
    • I find that it provides a great tone at a good bedroom level volume through the Mini Z and sends my Cornell Plexi 7 into an awesome deep, dark British bliss
    • The difference, to me at least, is the lead tone
    • The Catapulp has a lot of play when it comes down to altering the color of the amp or adding enhancement to an already good tone
    • Adjusting the volume on the guitar cleans up the tone quite well and the knobs on this pedal provide a great deal of adjustment in shaping the tone
    • Nice, fat, lead tone on the high strings that doesn't collapse when you go above the twelfth fret
    • And not just because it’s high gain - because the tone sags melts and morphs when you smack it in gear
    • Nice, fat, lead tone on the high strings that doesn't collapse when you go above the twelfth fret
