The recorded shows were missing content and coming out with a bad picture on the parts that did show up

but if you check their sites, the majority of the companies that sell digital content will tell you in the fine print that if you lose content due to your equipment malfunctioning, then you're out of luck and out of pocket if you want to replace it.

Also, when it craps out, you lose all content, none of the recorded programs stay on the TIVO hard drive.

After reading about problems on this unit due to bad E-SATA cables being supplied by WD, I bought another brand from AMAZON, and that fixed the problem

Others have had problems with e sata cable but mine worked fine.

The E-Sata cable works without issue
