Excellent , simple installation & works as expected

It's probably the easiest installation of a new electronic device I've ever experienced

Installation was a snap and I am enjoying not having to worry about constantly deleting items to conserve space on my TIVO.

Installation is a bit annoying because it required multiple reboots of my TiVo, which is really damn slow to reboot.

Installation is a breeze - just follow the directions and the rest is automatic.

The installation went smooth with no issues whatsoever.

Installation with my Tivo Premiere was very easy and took all of about 5-10 minutes with very little "configuring" by me.

My 1TB WD My Book AV Expander arrived last week, installation was a breeze on my TiVo Premiere using the supplied eSATA cable

Following the on-screen directions for expanding DVR memory I initially found the DVR was not recognizing the unit after it had indicated that the installation was successful

I use charter and their dvra have sata 6, so hell yea i can use this and its amazing i no longer have to constantly watch shows just to make room for upcoming recordings

I then looked for the best price as well as S&H.After reading many reviews here & elsewhere regarding frequent failure of the included SATA cable, I installed the hard drive

Then I saw this AV 1T external hard drive on Amazon

I then rechecked everything again and discovered an ID10T error (Idiot error from my time working on a help desk)

Doing that would double my storage to about 400MB.I ignored the advice and ordered this WD unit in the hopes that will work as it did for others using the 8300HD boxes

It was simple and works as it should.

OK so esata cable comes in mail and O' Happy Day for me, right?
