    WD 1TB My Book AV DVR Expander External Hard Drive - USB 2.0 - WDBABT0010HBK-NESN

    • It seems like if WD knows these are mostly going into Tivos that they would make sure that setup would be trouble free.

    • the genies will "see" the full 4 TB worth of space (note that the genie 2 comes with 2 TB worth of hard drive space just "by itself" which might be enough for your family's use anyways, you know best how much recording space your family needs :) ) ... at which point I'll transfer this anker/seagate hard drive setup to the genie.. in the meantime the anker/seagate hard drive combo worked flawlessly with my HR-24, didn't even need to "format" itself like the WD expander, just started working immediately and is still working great one week later
