WD 2TB My Passport Wireless Pro Portable External Hard Drive - WiFi USB 3.0 - WDBP2P0020BBK-NESN

    • It's a great option to take files along to a remote location without taking a whole computer.
    • (Note that plugging in via USB works fine, but I bought this as a wireless drive to sit nowhere near my computer, so USB isn't a reasonable option.)I've opened four support tickets
    • Is this a PERFECT option
    • It is a great option when you need to go with a minimal setup.
    • It's certainly functional primarily as a hard drive, but certainly there are less expensive options for that purpose.
    • I felt like a fool defending the drive's poor usability when less slick options (using the cameras' Wi-Fi functionality and app) are far more reliable
    • You might as well use one of the many online photo storage options available from other companies.)
    • Still looking for a good option - hope you get this one working - it's called "pro" but doesn't seem it lives up to the name - at least not yet
    • For hotel rooms where I can plug it in, the Plex server is one of the best options out there.
    • Because I take lots of photos and videos I use the CF card slot on my Canon 5D Mark IV so not having a CF card slot is not a good option
    • I read/watched numerous reviews that extolled it’s virtues as the absolute best option for external storage for iOS devices and how well it would interface with iOS apps
    • well i opened it up anyway and to my disappointment the product was scratched like deep gouges down the side of the product and also had smug marks all over it
    • And looking at the options if I purchase one (and I very well may) will go for the 4T version as the price differential for another 3T is not that much.
    • In fact I disabled 2.4ghz to eliminate the slower band all together
