Very disappointing drive reliability and as a result, I'm struggling to find a reliable cloud drive.

Also, While you can also easily transfer your media from a portable external hard drive, the personal cloud can break down, and you will not have much access to your files

I've recommended My Cloud for years.

It would have just needed a simple interface of their My-Book as an option, but the slow, unreliable cloud they used is a dismal disaster of epic proportions

My Cloud works great for iPhone Backups & sending large image files to clients.

My Cloud work so nicely after putting up with the LaCie drive for a few years.

However, WD has a lot more work to do to make this a user friendly device for the majority of computer users and for the buggy Cloud apps

Six months into ownership, I simply gave up on this feature and disabled cloud access

You would think they would make this the “ideal personal cloud” as stated on the package, but you will spend most of your time just trying to get the device to connect or even just gain access to it

They finally gave up and said it was bad disc and could not even retrieve the fileFor a cloud back to fail like that and lose all data show the very low reliability this product has.

The My Cloud looks like a great deal, however:1) None of the Mac software is functional.

Although they call it CLOUD, it is NOT pure cloud

The concept is great, your own personal cloud with individual accounts that you can grant or restrict access to each individually and to be honest it worked with very few hiccups for the first 2 years

I kept the WD My Cloud because I like technical challenges and have been able to make it work for what I bought it for as a home network and backup drive.

I was dumb enough to trust this cloud as I've uploaded my imported files (Taxes for 3 years, pictures, resume and lots of important files, all gone).

My Cloud fails miserably.

The personal cloud works great a home and from a far... but their apps for desktop and mobile are confusing to use

some time back i bought WD's My Cloud and it worked for 6-months and without any warning just stopped working

Dont LOVE the cloud but it works!

I went on a trip and couldn't access my own cloud hard drive via the ip address.

Drive was fine, it was the cloud OS that truly sucked.

So I can keep using this NAS and not upgrade my Macs or find a new NAS with personal cloud software that supports current operating systems

Much safer than an unknown cloud storage.
