Customer support is equally useless and I think they know it based on their nonchalant, rude, sometimes aggressive demeanor

Customer Support link on the My Cloud Home basically points to a FAQ page on device setup which I was able to do but unable to reconnect to my Home Network after only one week out of the box

All that being said, the customer support was very good although even he didn't understand why it was ultimately not showing on my network.

Customer support isn’t great, doesn’t fix issues, or even more frustratingly an often/occurring issue will be addressed only to reoccur weeks or days later.

Be aware that after some WD updates you can no longer access your drive, and customer support is non existent

Customer support's advice was, not surprisingly, to call Apple

It simply won't connect and there is no real customer support, everything just points you to some knowledge base that has no useful information.

Actually, I did write customer support.....yesterday.

Called customer support

I took all connected devices off it, made sure nothing was streaming, turned off the power saving mode (this is a recommendation from customer support), did a reset of the device itself (another recommendation that I was assured would not remove any credentials and it did), restarted the computers on the network, the network box, etc

However, against my better judgment I held on to it after customer support was able to get me up and running again

Minus one star for that data not being accessible and minus another for bad customer support

Customer support was not helpful at all.

Setup had some challenges (but good customer support - issue resolved).

First of all, Western Digital customer support leaves a lot to be desired

WD is basically saying u are not good enough to have the newest software bcoz u bought the cheapest product, thank u WD.

Slow as s***!!If you want to watch a movie on a remote loptop it takes for ever to down load and most of the time you get an error!!

The culprit may have been a hangup on a 0 KB file(s)

on the negative side, the data transfer speed (I/O) is not great.
