Unless you are an IT tech professional, don't waste your time or money.

But considering that the WD My Cloud device is a 3 TB storage device, this should not be a problem any time soon.

If it doesn't at least remotely work straight out of the box, I don't have the time to mess around with it.

I also had this being backed up to an external hard drive connected via USB but at some point this also got messed up and any time I try to set it to backup automatically again it just throws errors.

I see connection issues some times even though the device is connected my network

The hardware is great, its about time WD put some work in to the software.

The last time it failed I put a WD 3 TB Purple in it and eventually the Seagate hardware failed (the first 3 times the drives failed and were not recoverable) but the WD drive was still fine.
