I like to be able to access to video clips i made with my phone or camera and display them on my smart tv via DLNA server

I am using it with multiple iOS devices and macs in my family, time machine back-ups are easy to set up, share videos with any DLNA capable TV as well

I can watch any movie I own on my phone, PS4, smart TV, tablet, or in just about any browser

Even better we have enjoyed streaming content from the drive to multiple devices - our main TV, my son's iPad as well as a friends TV - at the same time

As there is no installation software for PC, Mac or Smart TV, you can right away access to it

I had this drive for about 3 years now and never had a problem, if I disconnect the power or the router it may take a min to fully load on my smart TV but nothing else.

but it's not very responsive, even on a gigabit connection, and the DLNA doesn't seem to want to connect to any of my smart TV's

My LG smart TV saw them -- but a lot of good that did me.

Works well for storing my movies on to pair up to my LG Smart TV.
