The interface is great, performance is decent, and the unit itself is a sturdy box

While I think the interface could use some work, it is quite functional.

If you are looking for a basic or beginner NAS this is a great solution with an amazing web-based user interface, both easy and straight forward.

Difficult Web interface especially configuring user access and shares

Changing router to UPnP Off and then set manual port forward on the NAS to the same ports set on the router port forward interface solved this issue.

Easy online setup I used a 3T toshiba hard drive I had laying around

WD also has a very good reputation for the quality of their hard drives, as well as for customer support.

Just got this NAS to help me backup my photography as well as give me access to all my files on the drive while away.

I have since ordered 6 more for various clients as well as for internal use
