    WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, M.2 2280 - WDS100T2B0B

    • If not, the 2.5” drive will be just fine.
    • This is a good M.2 drive.
    • Win 10 immediately saw the drive and I used Paragon software to migrate my OS to the WD drive
    • Fast SSD storage has hard drive speeds beat, hands down
    • Fast drive install was easy and the cloning software worked great to copy my hard drive to this faster m.2 drive
    • To get straight to the point, this is a reliable drive that won't give all of the performance of a typical SSD and certainly not when compared to an NVMe drive
    • I put in the enclosure and it is the fastest usb drive I've ever had
    • Have had no problems with it as a drive so far.
    • Great price, great drive.
    • fast drive, nice performance, seems to slow down when heat is high but it still is doing 150mb/s even under load/high heat
    • I almost always buy Western Digital hard drives but not anymore.
    • Today I’m reviewing a 500GB Western Digital Blue 3D NAND M.2 solid state drive
    • And for many novices and even some more advanced users who may have installed a hard drive or two the challenge dealing with this cutting edge technology may be more than they are able to deal with
    • I followed the instructions to add the media to my laptop, put the PC back together, and then used the WD cloning software to clone my tiny hard drive onto the SSD.
    • Excellent drive
    • Good Drive.
    • It is an amazing experience to have our first Solid State Drive PC
    • I am building a new PC around it, but until then, i bought an HDD enclosure and it is the smallest most portable USB hard drive I've ever owned.
    • I bought a Dell precision with a 2TB hard drive.
    • If you are looking to build a high-performance gaming or video editing rig and want the best that state of the art technology can provide, you should consider a PCIe solid state drive, which can easily get 4x or more the performance of one of these drives but will cost you more
    • For the price of a hard drive and a 500gb NVME drive, I got a 1TB SATA based one
    • The software to clone the hard drive is not intuitive, you need to have some skills in computing.
    • Solid drive, east fast, worked well as a boot drive
    • Solid drive, east fast, worked well as a boot drive
    • While this does lag m.2 options such as the 960evo, it's a darn good drive from a company that makes its own NAND and is committed to to industry.
    • Solid State Drive - WDS100T2B0B// to me
    • I simply just plugged the ssd in and cloned my current hard drive over and changed the settings in the BIOS
    • I also play games, PUBG in specific loads so much faster than it did while playing on the hard drive
    • So all good there.all in all, a great drive at a great value price point
    • Lightning fast hard drive
    • Used drive in diy usb drive and now I have very fast usb drive
    • One warning though: it will openly mock any older external, mechanical USB3 drives you may still be using, and write speeds to those drives may actually decrease from the speed-shaming they'll have to endure.
    • I will not worry the space of solid drive not enough any more.
    • Purchased this by mistake, only because I bought 480GB solid state drive about a year ago
    • Considering the cutting-edge technology, the convenient form factor and that it comes from a recognized and trusted pioneer in hard drive technology I think it is spot on.
    • Hard drive is 1TB, and it has slot for M.2 card
    • great drive perfect for my ultralight for a hard drive upgrade, added an external case for the original drive and all set
    • great drive perfect for my ultralight for a hard drive upgrade, added an external case for the original drive and all set
    • These things are magic for computers compared to a system running a regular hard drive, it's like night and day
    • I just used one of the four screws that was holding the original hard drive to the case, most have only one to three screws anyway, while the Acer had four.
    • Solid State Drive - WDS100T2B0A
    • As of now, I have tested the drive with different CPU clocks, different RAM clocks, I've removed PCIe cards, I've removed other hard drives, I've tested several BIOS and
    • Would work good too as an OS drive but a 4x PCIe NVMe (like the newest Western Digital Black m.2) might be better for the OS if you have the Money to spare.
    • The WD Blue line is a pretty standard "run of the mill" drive, but don't let that moniker fool you, this is a solid drive with a good warranty and good solid performance
    • Looks really cool, but this drive is cool for an m.2 drive, so it's not reallt necessary
    • I highly recommend these M.2 drives for anyone wanting a quick and easy solution for a slow HDD, granted your machine supports M.2
    • Lightning fast hard drive
    • Nice drive, very fast, good price
    • I have a new computer that came with a 128GB M.2 SSD (Solid State Drive) and I wanted a larger drive
    • While this does lag m.2 options such as the 960evo, it's a darn good drive from a company that makes its own NAND and is committed to to industry.
    • Couple weeks in and seems OK, but can't really trust this drive.
    • Although these are faster than traditional hard drives, don't expect performance equivalent to a higher end NVME M.2, which run easily ~$40 more for the same amount of storage
    • A very fast, compact M.2 drive from a trusted name, using newer high-density 3D NAND
    • For the price, this is a great drive
    • The drive has held up really well so far and it's
    • The old hard drive in this brand new machine took a few minutes to uncompress a file with over 1,000 files
    • It was a simple install to the available m.2 slot, followed by cloning the drive (made easier by this being a larger capacity drive), and rebooting.
    • This drive has worked well, which is to be expected from WD, as they are a pretty reputable brand
    • I am building a new PC around it, but until then, i bought an HDD enclosure and it is the smallest most portable USB hard drive I've ever owned.
    • I had used the Acronis WD edition often in the past and it never failed me on at least 10 hard drives but no more.
    • I think the issue is either due to hardware compatibility (i.e. Ryzen or my motherboard not liking the drive) or a Windows setting
    • This is a blisteringly fast drive.
    • Solid State Drive -
    • Bought a new Asus laptop with a 1TB stanard hard drive
    • Love this drive.
    • fast drive, nice performance, seems to slow down when heat is high but it still is doing 150mb/s even under load/high heat
    • Fast drive install was easy and the cloning software worked great to copy my hard drive to this faster m.2 drive
    • Fantastic drive
    • Nice and supper fast cache drive.
    • If you do have an older computer, you will need the standard SSD format that can be installed in a standard hard drive slot
    • On the box, this drive promises 560MB read speed, and 530MB write speed
    • Sometimes access times are far more important than total storage, and in my tests this drive was clearly superior in that capacity.
    • nice drive
    • PLaced Samsung drive back and no problems at all
    • It' is very fast compared to a hard drive and a breeze to install
    • the same company). This SSD is sold as the equivalent to what is known as a bare drive when you buy a traditional hard drive, which is to say you get the chip only, nothing
    • This particular drive uses the SATA interface just like standard hard drives do, unlike the faster PCIe interface that the pricier drives will have
    • Overall a good drive that I’d recommend if you need a SATA M.2 drive.
    • But, after using the free version of AOMEI (downloaded from the Western Digital website) to clone my hard drive, it only took a couple of restarts for the laptop to automatically assign my 250GB solid state drive as my new boot drive
    • That said the WD Blue M.2 SSDs do tend to run a bit cheaper than the faster performing Samsung drives
    • My fastest drive.
    • I wholeheartedly recommend WD Blue drives.
    • (Dell XPS 13 9360) and doubled the space for half the price of buying an upgraded drive from Dell... this drive is fast
    • A solid drive that was a good deal for the sale
    • Great drive
    • Internal Solid State Drive CT512M550SSD1 See screen shots
    • The elephants in the room are the Spinning hard drive, which transfered at the standard less than 145 MB/s that I've seen on pretty much every spinning SATA
    • Way faster thank the old drive.
    • The drive was easy to install and I had no issues loading and running Win10 or Linux Mint
    • Hard drive is fast and Awesome.
    • Second time I've bought this great drive, my favorite m.2 ssd for the price, this time i stuck it in an internal usb drive and its still speedy as hell
    • Hard drive is fast and Awesome.
    • Major upgrade from the standard TB hard drive
    • What's great about M.2 is you can keep your current hard drive and boot the OS and your favorite games from the M.2, keeping the old hard drive just for regular storage
    • It works perfectly and WD's drive cloning software worked seamlessly!
    • The seeds for this drive are not as fast as the higher end Samsung drives, but for a cheaper secondary drive, you can not go wrong with these
    • There are much faster M.2 PCIE drives for sale but the price is double the
    • Because I am new to this tech, I back it up to my old trusty SATA 1 drive that refuses to fail (background transfer, low priority).I don't recall if a screw came with this.
    • The drive is very fast and it delivers
    • But, after using the free version of AOMEI (downloaded from the Western Digital website) to clone my hard drive, it only took a couple of restarts for the laptop to automatically assign my 250GB solid state drive as my new boot drive
    • Blue 250GB 3D NAND M.2 drive is a great little drive, and I for one am very happy to be leaving behind spinning disks and SATA cables alike
    • This particular drive uses the SATA interface just like standard hard drives do, unlike the faster PCIe interface that the pricier drives will have
    • The hard drive and boot speeds went from painful to "wow!
    • All I had to do afterwards was to format the 1T hard drive which came with the laptop and assign it to store photos, videos, and large files
    • If the aesthetics are not important to you, you won't find a better drive.
    • Awesome drive for compiling roms.
    • The M.2 being the same technology as the 2.5" drive has the same speeds and is also a good choice, but if you have a motherboard that can support the faster V-NAND drives, that might be worth looking into
    • If anything else, you can use this with an external enclosure to get a nice portable and fast drive solution
    • I highly recommend just buying a new
    • Unless your answer includes some sort of multimedia production, especially video or 3d rendering, then I doubt the I/O speeds will be that noticeable
    • The M.2 being the same technology as the 2.5" drive has the same speeds and is also a good choice, but if you have a motherboard that can support the faster V-NAND drives, that might be worth looking into
