Live in a cell dead/weak area

At home, the signal was not amplified at all, even though the locations I had placed the antenna were shielded from the receiver and in known good areas

This makes a cell phone work well in weak or no reception areas

Tracfone and live in a "dead" area and was hoping the Wilson Sleek Universal Cell Phone Signal Booster would solve that problem

Because of this, I keep mine only in the car only to use if needed for a roadside emergency in a weak cell area.

Well, with this booster, the weak areas are all 3-4 bars.

I travel through rural areas and dead area of all US carriers everyday

The Wilson Cell Phone Signal Booster has been a big help in those weak signal areas that I travel in for my work, and it is worth the $100 I paid for it

like me...that uses a Motorola Droid (X2, now)...this is a MUST HAVE for travelling in poor cell coverage areas

When testing with the app "Network Signal Info Pro" initially in a good service area I didn't notice much of a change

In a car on the road I got ~16dB gain, with the antenna on a roof in a remote but otherwise clear area I got 30dB gain

(I located the mifi unit in the best surveyed area in my house which happens to be outside on a covered porch

I would say if you are in a weak signal area...meaning you do get some signal then you will benefit from this

In just a few seconds, I watched as my "One Bar" 3G signal in a weak coverage area go up to "Four Bars".

It should have some sort of regulator so as not to amplify the signal when unneccesary and produce bad calls in good signal areas

For 7-8 miles there has always been a dead area where i get no service, but with this the problem was solved

Rare now that I don't have both 24/7.Google how to change your phone setting to db from bars to read your signal if in weak areas .

My issue was not with cell reception, but junk signal from Sprint in the middle of a solid 3G area.

(When I say no service, I don't mean just no bars, I mean the display would show "Searching for Service".)With the Wilson Sleek, I had no areas where I couldn't use my phone

This takes out most (not all) of the "dead areas" in a 50 mile radius.

Don't just look at the bars go into your phone and actually see your signal to find the real difference, in weak areas my signal goes from -95db to -45db.

The sleek does the job in weak signal areas but is not made to use in areas with good signals

This thing can be very inexpensive insurance should you need help in a remote area (dead zone, 'no service available', no tower coverage, etc.).

both iphone 4s and android phone had signal reception problems....and low and behold from maybe a 1 bar signal to 4-5 bars with the sleek.....so far i am sold...i have tested it in most of my dead areas and it works fine

In real weak areas, it's best to remove the phone's protective case

Phone performance is far better in weak signal areas when using this unit.
