Back to the warning about newer EZRX hard drives, It's well known by now that Green drives have the parking problem and many people will attempt to disable the head parking, which by default is every 8 seconds

The drives are good about shutting down when they aren't needed, and they wake up reasonably fast when the system calls them

This was a back up drive in use for less than nine months and only used for the occasional back up, unfortunately when we found out we needed it - the drive and all the data that is supposed to be on it is gone as the drive no longer spins... can't say I'd trust this drive "...for primary use in desktop and All-in-One PCs, as secondary storage for archiving, in external cases or as reliable backup storage."Tested in three computers, external and internal.

Great High Capacity Hard Drive

WD Green drives are excellent when paired with an SSD boot drive, or when used for backups or data storage.

Raid 1 rebuilt the array and no i/o issues.

I can't even restart some of the virtual machines because as soon as they try to load from this drive, it reports an I/O error and ceases operations for that virtual machine
