I'm getting bad sectors on the hard drive.

Bought 3 of these drives in Oct and had one starting to fail with bad sectors.

Runs cool, no bad sectors, lots of storageCons: None

and you're generally assured that you will not run into any surprise bad sectors as you use the drive.

After that it started reporting bad sectors all over the place

Bad sectors from the get go, fast but runs hot

I completed a full format with no bad sectors found

With numerous usages, lost sectors on the hard drive appear and indexes become corrupted

I purchased this drive in March of 2015 and it has become useless with bad sectors and random disconnects as of December 2016

The only reason the hitachi had 5 bad sectors is

and it's currently riddled with bad sectors, practically unusable no matter what I do to fix them.

After 1.67 TB, the drive had too many bad sectors.

but I bought 2 and had to throw out one of them because of bad sectors

Drive failed with bad sectors in less than one year

and it already has bad sectors.

Began giving me bad sectors after 4 months or so.

I bought 2 of them, One of them went bad, Took it to the computer repair store and they said it has bad sectors

Great price on a 1T hard drive.

Had it installed a week ago & what a difference....had a 1.6 GB hard drive that crashed & now with the new 1T hard drive

This is my 3rd 4T drive--all excellent and reliable.

This drive suffers from horrible I/O errors if you ever try to do any kind of constant writing job, such as extraction of an archive file or configuring a virtual machine on the drive, or other program installation

Raid 1 rebuilt the array and no i/o issues.

I can't even restart some of the virtual machines because as soon as they try to load from this drive, it reports an I/O error and ceases operations for that virtual machine
