Western Digital Caviar Green 3 TB SATA III 64 MB Cache Bare/OEM Desktop Hard Drive - WD30EZRX

    • Personally, I would rather have the unnoticeably slower speed since it gives me all of these benefits
    • Good speed and temp
    • Speed is pretty decent for a Green model.
    • Really good drive, nice speed and really quite under writing/reading circumstances
    • Runs cool and virtually silent, plenty speed for data storage, big improvement over older and failing WD Green Caviar.
    • and I copy files up to 220 MB/s!!!. Good price, good size and excellent speed.
    • Nice size and speed for the price but the noisiest hard drive I've ever owned; its white noise easily over powers cooling fans and even the high speed DVD ROM
    • Knowing that I just needed a mass storage, speed wasn't a concern.
    • All you can expect for a HD from WD, using it as a storage disk for media in a home computer works really great, nice temperatures, good transfer speed, great for home use.
    • I would recommend this HDD as it still puts out great transfer speeds and has been very dependable so far.
    • This HDD has slow speeds
    • High capacity, high speed, easy to install.
    • It has good transfer speeds, and hasn't died out considering the amount of information transfers I've done on it since November 15, 2014 when I originally purchased it
    • That way I could switch to a faster speed when the power-saving, heat-reducing properties aren't needed (a sort of hard drive overclock)
    • Pretty consistent write speeds of 95-110MB/s which is better than I was expecting
    • Nice size and speed for the price but the noisiest hard drive I've ever owned; its white noise easily over powers cooling fans and even the high speed DVD ROM
    • The RAID worked fine for a couple hours then I started experiencing extremely slow write speeds while migrating my data over (nearly 2TB at the moment).
    • Runs cool and virtually silent, plenty speed for data storage, big improvement over older and failing WD Green Caviar.
    • The speed of this drive is pretty decent and works great for me for my bulk storage
    • Works at decent speed and even survived 4 power outages
    • Drive works fine, but the slow read speed is VERY noticeable
    • nice speeds...
    • It has run great, good speeds, no hiccups for almost a year now
    • However, to list the slow speed as a con is only a con if you truly require a drive for very fast applications, or are using it for a RAID setup
    • Shipped at reasonable speed and works fine.
    • Good speed, high capacity, no negatives
    • Cheap and regular speed shipping
    • Excellent low price storage for media and data that is not speed sensitive.
    • I have been buying wd drives for 15 years and this is no exception, quiet, cool, speeds 150 mbps on older machine, use it for audio and video editing, highly recommend!
    • The reason I bought this hard drive specifically (even though is considered "old") was because I have two more just like this one that have serve me well for a few years already, never a problem, speed is good, overall I don't have a complain about it
    • I don't use it for things where I need super-fast speeds, so I can't speak to benchmarks or the like, but it's worked very well for my needs, and I've had no issues with it thus far
