Winegard LNA-200 Boost XT HDTV Preamplifier, TV Antenna Amplifier Signal Booster, HD Digital VHF UHF Amplifier (10x Power, Low Noise, 20 dB Max Gain) - USA

    • Adding this pre-amp boosted the signal strength to 50 percent on channel 11 which is now a good stable signal day or night.
    • Absolutely perfect reception, signal strength of -50 to -60 dBm on all stations, 180Mhz to 680Mhz.
    • I expected much better strength on the picture quality
    • I now receive over 30 channels and the reception is great with good signal strength
    • Mounting the antenna 20 feet above ground level provided ample signal strength to operate sets in four rooms after inserting a splitter in the attic
    • I have this mounted in the attic, and I get great signal reception and strength, of all the audio and video stations in the area.
    • A must for areas where signal strength is hard to obtain.
    • Much better reception and signal strength
    • My first thought was signal strength or noise level might be too high due to the amplification.
    • Prior, I was receiving 7 channels and the signal strength was marginal to poor
    • An antenna preamplifier simply boosts the strength of both the signal and the noise being received by an antenna, and therefore has no effect on a tuner's ability to tune in distant stations.
    • This actually works to improve the signal strength when others didn't.
    • Greatly improved signal strength in area far from transmission towers.
    • I get a total of 32 or 33 channels, all but 4 of which show a good channel strength
    • Quick and easy to install (relatively) and gets more stations than I knew existed without any issues - every single is top bar strength.
    • It helps a little, just enough to improve the signal strength to keep my OTA reception comfortably above the pixelating threshold on a couple of problematic channels.
    • n’t sure if the signal strength would be strong
    • Improved strength from 60% o 100% for some channels and brought in some new channels as well
    • I live on the edge of reception for a few of the local channels, and this booster improved signal strength and quality enough to eliminate any blocking or audio dropping issues
    • I use an outdoor antenna installed in my attic, after using this it improved signal strength by 30-40% per channel and even picked up one channel I had not been able to receive un-amplified.
    • Although this works the first time I installed it, the signal strength on the impacted channels reverted back to the level they were before installing the amp.
    • Although this works the first time I installed it, the signal strength on the impacted channels reverted back to the level they were before installing the amp.
    • It can improve the strength of signal detected and in some cases it is possible to boost "fringe" signals enough to be visible
    • Set up was easy, used my iphone's compass to point the antenna north, split the signal to two TVs and got much better signal strength and 9 more channels without even turning the rotator!Very pleased with this antenna!
    • Not only didn't improve my NBC signal strength, it actually caused issues on other channels that worked fine before I installed it.
    • All the stations come in, and with significant strength
    • Also found and old Winegard BC-782 Booster-coupler up there, and when I connected things through it, it boosted my channel count to 45, but the additional 13 channels all had poor signal strength
    • To run it to more than one TV I suggest an amplifier so you do not lose signal strength
    • Signal strength is great now
    • i live in the metro area of a large city so signal strength shouldn't be an issue.
    • Does a nice job of improving the signal strength of our antennae
    • With this device, I boosted the signal strength on that one channel to about 75% or a little more, and the symbol quality remains high enough that there are no freezes or dropouts (or, at least, they are very seldom).I would give this five stars without hesitation if it came with two, 2' cables to install this into an existing system without having to source any additional parts.
    • This unit definitely improved the signal strength and brought in a couple more channels, although not the channel we were hoping for.
    • , this Winegard improved signal strength by over 60%, a vast improvement!I had actually ordered 100ft of RG6 cable plus a new CM antenna but didn't need them (for option#2
    • The signal strength did not improve at all.
    • Buying the Winegard Amp to see if I can boost the strength
    • According to Silicon Dust, they recommend a minimum of 60% strength and you could tell we didn't have enough signal strength on many of the channels as they glitched in and out frequently
    • Signal strength definitely benefits from the use of this device
    • I did install and test the Winegard LNA-200 Boost XT HDTV Preamplifier with the HD7694P antenna, but it did not improve the reception signal strength of the weak TV station in my
    • So, if you have a Tivo and you think you need a super strength antenna because your present antenna doesn't do the job, you may want to do what I did: buy an additional preamp (I now have two in series) before connecting to the Tivo
    • I read up on weak signal strength and having a long coaxial run to your
    • It gave me at least 1/4 better signal strength and much more stability!
    • This slightly increased my signal strength across the board, and just enough to gain another 2 channels.
    • I lost signal strength and stability
    • I've seen situations with decent signal strength with low quality led to poor quality image,as I've seen weak signals with high quality that provided excellent TV image
    • I use a Tivo bolt now in place of the cable company DVR and it shows the signal strength and signal to noise for each channel - so it was easy to see as well as test the difference using the Tivo
    • Not completely but severely cutting signal strength enough to not get 2 channel groups ( total of 5 individual channels) and cause 3rd and most important channel group to constantly drop below 20
    • The ability of a TV tuner to "tune in" a particular signal depends entirely upon the difference in strength between the signal and the surrounding electrical noise, called the signal to noise (S/N) ratio.
    • It improved my T V signal and was easy to install.
