so it is on a desk behind the tv pointed in the direction of the stations and the picture is crystal clear on all the channels we pull in which are many!
I set it up and it seemed to interrupt the connection so the picture was actually worse.
Really makes viewing TV nicer now that we can get a clear picture and lots of channels
I believe it helped the antenna I installed it in the attack and it picks up all the stations and my TV has the best picture it has ever had!

went from 13 channels to 40, very happy with the booster, was skeptical at first but works.
Some cheap F connectors from China cross thread or whatever, these work

I've used cheaper RShack amplifiers before and dealt with poor signal quality or dropouts from oscillation
The TV transmitter is about 55 miles from my house, and without the preamp I only get around half of the available channels with around 75% signal strength and intermittent quality.
With the preamp, I get all of the available channels from the transmitter with 100% signal strength and perfect quality.
The HDHR software also allows you to see the "signal quality" which is very important b/c if you have a high signal strength, but the quality is poor, it won't make any difference in viewability.
It is important to note that this does not improve the quality of the signal coming from the antenna.

Poor connections, poor antenna aiming and/or a long coax run will all result in degradation of received signals

Worked OK for about 1 month; once the weather became hot, it quit working
It didn't give me added channels but it gave me good reception through the bad weather.
Well, it did improve the reception a little (so it got 3 stars), but only for when the weather is perfect, no wind, no overcast
Both worked fairly well mounted in the family room under good weather conditions, but fared poorly during windy conditions, probably due to trees moving in the wind.
There are some signal issues when the weather is too bad, but I can live with that

I would not recommend it, but would recommend a powered splitter
If you need to use a splitter, make sure you purchase a DC passive splitter which allows the DC voltage to move through the splitter and up to the amplifier through the coax cable.

Works great and I installed the preamp 15 feet down from antenna after cable enters house, not like you should: about 3 to 5 foot from antenna on the mast.
No u-bolts to struggle with--easily attached to mast with included zip ties.
The plastic housing for the cable termination fell apart and after 2 emails the company gave me a phone number that didn't work to call for a replacement part.
