Winegard LNA-200 Boost XT HDTV Preamplifier, TV Antenna Amplifier Signal Booster, HD Digital VHF UHF Amplifier (10x Power, Low Noise, 20 dB Max Gain) - USA

    • There are some signal issues when the weather is too bad, but I can live with that
    • In my area, channel 13 is in the VHF band and was always iffy -- with this amplifier, I have full signal strength and a crystal clear picture full time; I was only getting 3 bars (out of 5) with the previous amp and the signal would drop out frequently in bad weather
    • The antenna also includes a weather boot to protect the coax connector from the elements.
    • Boosted signal, Less bad weather dropouts.
    • FANTASTIC RECEPTION - RECEIVES EXCELLENT SIGNALS FROM 100 MILES AWAY - PERFORMS PERFECTLY IN FOUL WEATHER - EASY INSTALLATION - HEAVY DUTY
    • Want to see how it looks during real bad weather, but with overcast skies this item has
    • Both worked fairly well mounted in the family room under good weather conditions, but fared poorly during windy conditions, probably due to trees moving in the wind.
    • Not anymore even in bad weather, working great with DB8E and Clearstream 5
    • I wanted to improve the signal because it cuts in/out during stormy weather on some channels
    • They can also handle harsh weather
    • Boosted signal, Less bad weather dropouts.
    • worked good with my attic antenna , pulled in stations that normally when the weather gets bad won't come in
    • Well, it did improve the reception a little (so it got 3 stars), but only for when the weather is perfect, no wind, no overcast
    • I actually get a decent signal and with our without this preamp, but my signal will get weak occasionally during rough weather.
    • Great reception, even with stormy weather
    • Occasionally I get some digital dropouts due to wind or bad weather but for the most part it provides an exceptional picture
    • It didn't give me added channels but it gave me good reception through the bad weather.
    • The OTR Antenna was already working pretty well, but bad weather would pixelate a "strong" channel or two.
    • We'll see how it performs in poor weather.
    • Worked OK for about 1 month; once the weather became hot, it quit working
    • This product did measurably increase the signal strength of all the broadcast stations over the signal strength without the booster in (the 270') line, but the increase was not dramatic, so during foul weather we still lose acceptable picture quality at times on some stations.
    • FANTASTIC RECEPTION - RECEIVES EXCELLENT SIGNALS FROM 100 MILES AWAY - PERFORMS PERFECTLY IN FOUL WEATHER - EASY INSTALLATION - HEAVY DUTY
    • The only time it does is during bad weather..
    • As has been pointed out in several internet articles, a preamp will NOT capture signals that are extremely weak or "corrupted" by multi-path distortion or poor weather
    • Some of the channels started to pixilate &/or drop out, especially during bad weather.
    • Now, in summer of 2016 the weather has warmed and the trees are fully leafed out.
    • We have had some very stormy weather here this summer and during these storms my picture quality was still HD.Things to bare in mind, I do not have a booster/amplifier rigged up to the antenna, I may install one to see if that give e more channel - I will update this review if I go down that path
    • I've tried a lot of indoor, small antennas to get the DTV channels in my area, but they all had issues especially in non-perfect weather (cloudy, rainy, etc.)
    • Have been using for over a month, and have never seen any pixellation even in bad weather
    • Boosted my S/N ratio enough to stop some issues I used to have getting VHF channels in bad weather.
    • Maybe it is just not weather resistant but they should have sent the proper weather protectors
    • Thus, regarding weather
    • 90%, an amplifier might not make any difference as you can't improve on that for a digital signal
    • The signal was great but when we added a splitter, the signal deteriorate a
    • The antenna was missing a
    • so out goes the device; disappointing as this is one of the first items from Amazon that didn't work as it said it would.....
    • It improved my T V signal and was easy to install.
