At least half of the pencils in the package are useless because as I sharpen them the lead breaks off and falls out and the whole pencil sharpens into a pile of shavings with NO useable point

They use a nice cedar wood, the lead sharpens to a fine point and it doesn't break off

I have gone through no fewer than 2 dozen of these pencils personally, and more have been used by my staff, and I've never seen a single one where the lead has simply broke and "fell out" of the casing

Like the lead immediately balls over, is too slippery, and leaves a dull thick mark about 3/4" of a linear inch after I start writing with it and way too light

and I love the darkness of the soft lead.

These get dropped all the time in the shop onto a concrete floor and of course the tip may break a bit, but even that kind of incident has never broken the lead further down the casing

In my opinion, these Write Dudes USA Gold Premium Cedar pencils are some of the finest pencils I've ever used, as dull as it may make me seem to say such a thing

worked as they should.
