Reception is surprisingly good for a portable.

The reception is incredible but it all stops there

The reception was spotty at best, too, but I got around this by recording music to listen to later

I am very happy with this little gadget - I don't sit close to the window and I get a good signal, once I place it on the docking station with the external antenna, I get wonderful reception

I gets great reception in the home or car dock, but when walking around, the reception will fade in and out if you aren't holding it towards the satellites.

Despite the fact that my train chuggs past several of the terrestrial repeaters, live reception is intermittent.

Hook it up to home audio system with dock/antennae - has long enough cord to bring to a window for positioning for best reception.

I got 3-4 years ago with the Roady2, reception is very reliable except going under underpasses & driving close beside tall buildings (like to a drive-up ATM or a drive-up pharmacy).

Without reliable satellite reception, it's not worth it just for the MP3 player
