Yamaha DD65 Electronic Drum Pad Premium Package with Headphones, Power Supply, Drum Sticks, and 2 Foot Pedals

    • I will say that the internal sounds are pretty good considering the price, but again, wasted on crappy pad sensors.
    • For the price, they have a nice sound
    • Super fun & good sound!!!
    • Amazing sound and is the best choice for learn drums
    • THE MEH- The sounds aren't very good
    • The other issue is that none of the built in sounds come with a choked cymbal sound.
    • The DD65 plays almost completely differently from a full size drumkit, Think of it as a set of practice pads, only they make drum sounds when struck
    • The kits sound decent.
    • and then one stick crossing over to hit the snare (can't remember the exact name for this technique).Bottom line: the sounds are very good, the playability is very good, the "fun factor" for kids is EXCELLENT, the "teachability" factor for kids is EXCELLENT (can't think of a better way to learn) and overall it's just a great piece of kit.
    • I imagine it'd be easy to upload the right choked sounds through the MIDI interface.
    • but I suspect they flesh out a big sound like when I plugged into a powered personal amp
    • Alesis SR-16 Drum Machine for some more realistic drum sounds, and then into my computer for recording
    • Great sounds, easy to change settings, easy to use, fits well on a snare drum stand
    • It's got a decent sound bank
    • There are positives however: it has a very nice sound, ports for use with a snare drum stand, and a very diverse song database for learning the art of percussion
    • The other great thing is that because it is digital you can easily plug it into your computer's "audio input" jack and record amazing sounding drums into your digital recordings
    • I actually blew out a pair of speakers thx to one of the floor tom sounds on this kit
    • PERSONALLY, I want to go get the lightest pair of sticks I can find so that it takes a harder effort on my part to trigger the drum sounds (both on the DD-65 itself as well as the sounds on the Motif
    • /A box with MIDI or some other MIDI hookup, you can get much nicer sounds (though the trigger velocity may not be as nice as
    • The good news is that the sounds are pretty good when I plug it into a good amp
    • The sound is great and the drums are very responsive
    • Great sound, but the pedals stink.
    • The only problem I've had is that the large lower left pad (usually used for the snare) sometimes registers a crash cymbal sound when I hit the pad hard and the pad is assigned a snare sound (and only when using one of my custom kits).
    • The significant criticisms I have seen made by others are 1) unrealistic sound 2) unwanted sounds from adjacent pads and 3) bad foot pedals that slide around
    • Great sound, Pad sensitivity, Set up of pads, Portability, Aux In and Aux Out ports, compatible with any Snare Drum standCons: Kick Pedal buttons slide on wood floor, Included stereo headphones make sound a bit staticky
    • You will get a much more realistic sounding bass.
    • Great sound when run through guitar amp.
    • It's triggering the sounds from the computer's program which are pre-recorded sounds of real drums recorded in a professional environment so needless to say the sounds are amazing
    • it takes a bit of force to get them to play, and it especially helps if you hit the pad in the center,The default arrangements of the pads seem reasonable, but you can rearrange them as desired,The sounds are good for an instrument at this price point, There are 50 different kits to choose from (not counting the hand kits).
    • Awesome sound ... great build ... they work incredibly well with amplified speakers.
    • I'm using a bass amp and still produce awesome sound
    • Once connected to an amp, can produce a really good sound!3
    • The sounds are crisp and clear, and the response is accurate
    • An easy way to get good drum sounds that did not require a ton of mic placement, gating, etc.-
    • The high hat and base pedals could be more robust but the overall sound is great.
    • The significant criticisms I have seen made by others are 1) unrealistic sound 2) unwanted sounds from adjacent pads and 3) bad foot pedals that slide around
    • I've tried a number of different configurations in terms of the layout, and for some reason, I feel like certain sounds have a lag in playback (the hats, for example), while others seem just fine
    • Good sound, even without an amp and the pad contact is pretty reliable especially with a snare stand mount.
    • Good sound, even without an amp and the pad contact is pretty reliable especially with a snare stand mount.
    • When the DD-65 is in stand-alone mode, it takes quite a lot of volume (say, setting the volume knob to 3:00) to get enough sound out of the built-in speakers to make the girls happy.
    • The sounds is nice and the pressure sensitivity gives you a more real life feel and sounds
    • So many good sounds!
    • The sounds are very good, and for a beginner such as myself, is very good, the only complaint i do have are the pedals, that, despite they work, they could be a bit more sensitive.

    • You can lock it in place and get some really nice sounds out of it
