I have given guitar lessons to children for years and would recommend this as a good beginner instrument
-
In my opinion you get what you pay for and there is a reason that Martins and Gibsons cost over $2000 for a decent instrument.
-
I thought the Little Martin was a very nice little instrument too, but the JR2 is very close in sound to me, thus I didn't think spending double the money made sense
-
This guitar initially was perfect for my granddaughter, even her professional instructor thought it was a nice instrument
-
But he really started learning guitar once he got a proper full size instrument at age 10
-
All in all, a great gig bag!I would recommend this instrument whole-heartedly to anyone who is looking for a quality starter guitar for their child, or an adult who is looking for a great little travel or campfire guitar that could also park itself in the corner of your office for little work breaks.

His instructor commented that it was a nice guitar and said it was comfortable even for him and would make a nice traveling instrument for adults
-
It is a better instrument than I thought it would be for the price
-
I would not buy this guitar for my self or recommend it to anyone except a child as a first instrument
