I am self employed and manufacture products that people miss use and blame the product and reading all the negative reviews all pointed to poor install and poor quality speakers or to high power rates speakers

the pioneer I can sense a distortion but the Yamaha is very clean

I own a much more expensive Pioneer receiver which I use for my TV surround sound/Home Theater

I'll say that the volume doesn't go as loud as our old Pioneer receiver did

This Yamaha does not sound as good as the more expensive Pioneer models, but it sounds very good for my outdoor needs
