Yamaha THR10 Desktop Guitar Amplifier and Interface with Cubase AI Recording Software

    • I was hoping to use this amp as a smaller in-home replacement for my 30-year old solid state 30W Marshall Master Lead Combo.
    • So I turned to solid state, and looked at Fenders, Boss, etc
    • The 35 watt ZT junior is only 25 more solid state watts than this one, but it is usually sufficient to use with other players while the THR10C is not quite able to be heard in anything other than acoustic settings
    • Mini amps are notorious for this, and even my two other apps (a 20+ lb Fender Super Champ X2 and a solid state Vox Pathfinder 15) do this to an extent when pushed.
    • This is the closest any company has come to capturing the sound of a tube amp via a solid state technology
    • The built in amps are Deluxe (fender blues deluxe), Class A (Country or Southern Blues), US Blues, British Blues, Mini (Mini amp solid state circuit sound), Bass (like a Bassman Fender), ACO (acoustic electric condenser mic), Flat (acoustic electric guitar style amp, no effects, no mixing, what goes in comes out as pure guitar)
    • $300 for a 10W solid state amp.
    • From a life long hater of solid state arbd modeling amps, this thing has completely changed my idea of what lunchbox amps are capable of
    • Note: I'm not a solid-state fan, but
    • I have owned several Fender and Marshall amps, both tube and solid state
    • We all know that small amps, solid state amps and modeling amps all have been known for years to suck
    • All the other solid state modeling amps sound awful.
    • The Yamaha THR10 is a solid state guitar amp with stereo sound, built in effects, stereo outs, runs on AC or batteries and is about the size of a boombox
    • I have an 'all tube' and a solid state fender amp, so they are what I'm accustomed to.
    • My previous amp was a solid state 2x10 Princeton Chorus from the 90's, and I actually loved the depth and clarity of the sound it provided
    • It is a solid state amp, but also a modeling amp.
    • You will never hear chords so bright and clean as when you play through this
