This is a large nib....larger than traditional flexible fine point nibs.

Because the nib is large, it makes slightly thicker lines than other fine pointed nibs.

You can get a medium thickness line weight, but the point seems almost too sharp and creates shakier-than-normal upstrokes

The point doesn't give out like some other nibs I've used.

I've used plenty of Speedball nibs without issue, and regularly write with a fountain pen--this thing isn't like either of those--not smooth, not flexible, not unlike writing with a roofing nail!

The nice thing about this "pressure sensitivity" is that it allows you to create a beautiful "ebb and flow" with your artwork.
