Reviews around sound (5.00 of 5)

  • Highly recommended if you want "authentic" sounding (and feeling) reduced volume cymbals
  • Not the best sound after initial hit, but dampening will help with that
  • the open and closed sounds are nice just like real hi hats but at a reduced volume (again by about 80%).
  • It is a bit thick & isn't as bright sounding as a "real" hand-hammered 10" splash, but it still isn't a bad cymbal at all
  • you want QUIET practice with realistic sounding and FEELING cymbals (my fav feature) look no further, Zildjian L80 cymbals are the best the market has ever seen

Reviews around tone (5.00 of 5)

  • I actually enjoy the tone these cymbals produce as well, they aren't as tinny as I was expecting.
  • Amazing for low volume practice, same feel and sound as real cymbals (and they have excellent tone) with an extremely reduced volume
  • Apart from the low volume, the tone is quite good for the price.
  • The 18" ride: a ton of stick definition, warm and dark tone highs present as well but much lower than the gen16 series, crashing on it the volume is very
  • When played with the foot as an example on "two and four" with the ride cymbal in your right hand the hi hats produce a chick sound - so much better than traditional acoustic hi hats in conjunction with rubber cymbal mutes, reason is if youve ever played traditional acoustic hi hats in conjunction with rubber cymbal mutes they dont sound very good especially when played open and closed using sticks, in that situation they produce an out of context (volume wise especially - as well as tone wise

Reviews around bounce (5.00 of 5)

  • I received 2 free Remo Silent Stroke drumheads as a promo 22" and 14" (for free w/ purchase) as well-sweet deal! The cymbals:18" ride - very nice bounce from the sticks, great for practicing at low volume.
  • The main things I like about this ride is its low volume, as advertised it is reduced by about 80%, Id say the volume is reduced by more than 80% when crashed on which is great, the stick definition (ping if you will) is amazing you can very clearly hear every bounce on the cymbal I love this feature - great for working on jazz ride patterns and being able to hone in on your ride cymbal time while working on independence - you can clearly hear everything very hard to

  • These are also a good volume for acoustic guitars without a amp
  • When played with the sticks they sound great, both open and closed sounds are at an equally reduced volume (perfect balance between the two).

Reviews around bell (5.00 of 5)

  • The bells on these cymbals won't sound like those on good B20 bronze models, but if you accept them for what they are, they still isn't bad.
  • The ride cymbal sounds great and has a nice bell sound as well
