The bulbs themselves are fine

The bulb came loose from the housing within 3 months!!

I use mine with Reptisun 10.0 compact linear florescent bulb paired with the ZOO Med Reptile lamp stand.

We installed the proper wattage bulb and they overheated

The few months that we have been using it, it kept flaking out(lost many bulbs to it)

The bulb did not blow out, but I have no use for it or any reptile bulb until I replace the fixture

I had this for about a year (only using a few months a year in cold temps for my tortoise) before it shorted out and also ruined my heating bulb too

We were using the correct light bulb, on brand new outlets in a brand new house

Perfect for our Red Eared Slider's UBC bulb.

My turtles and I are in the same room most evenings, and the deep dome has lessened the glare from such a bright bulb.

Coincidentally, the mercury self ballasted bulbs Zoo Med sells are decent bulbs, but I have had little to no consistency of life span (on-average of 3-4 months) used in conjunction with the manufacturers recommended settings and on average 7.5 hours of use daily.
