The beauty of this unit is the sound you get through a good, clean amp or especially headphones
-
I like the amps a lot
-
Great amp simulations.
-
So many available amps and effect pedals with so many parameters each seem great at first; however, when you start building your first signal chain (effect combo) you'll understand what I mean
-
So far my favorite amp and cab is the Engl Invader
-
I decided to get "newfangled" and get this Zoom G1 (the Expression pedal model) and keep my amplifier simple, a nice tube amp; I wanted to let the amp be relatively clean (not digitized effects in the amp), and let the stomp boxes do the modeling
-
Turns any cheap practice amp into something far better.
-
So far my favorite amp and cab is the Engl Invader
-
Typically this can include 5 of any: Amp Model, Distortion, Fuzz, Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Compressor, Etc.
-
You can either use this with your expensive tube amp, using just the stompbox simulations, or add it to a cheap guitar and amp and get the sound you're looking for
-
While the product is marketed as an "effects unit", it should be noted at the start that it operates as a full preamp and cabinet simulator modeling (now) 22 types of popular amps.
-
I should have stuck to a Digitech this thing is irritating and has been a waste of 70$UPDATE: the unit has started working because apparently my new amp wasn't capable of reading the ''STEREO'' output cord i had
-
If you have a cheap amp, nothing is going to sound very good
-
I emailed the manufacturer and after some back and forth they determined that feedback on high gain amp sims was normal and there was nothing wrong with the unit.
-
Sounds great thru my fourforce EM-1 amp also
-
Even works as a vocal treatment and pre-amp for vocals
-
I can't believe people actually think this is a decent sounding product... for a bedroom player that wears headphones maybe... but for a pro guitarist with a nice amp, this is nothing but a toy, and not a very fun one
-
, if you have a good amp, it sounds pretty decent
-
, Jazz rockabilly, R&B-Have a decent old tube amp
-
It isn't quite the same thing as quality pedals going in to a top notch tube amp, but for the price, it allows many sounds you couldn't get without spending a lot of money
-
Not bad amp sims!
-
After running through individual effects through a clean amp, the 'T Scream' (Ibanez Tube Screamer TS808) sounds impressively convincing
-
It sounded terrible and it blew my amp
-
Far better now is the amp/cab simulations - very good
-
Zoom does not include the full list of available amps and effects with the unit, and so makes experimentation a bit more challenging
-
This has killer amp modeling and effects especially when you consider the price
-
It works as it should and has hundreds of built in effects.
-
The bad: - After a few hours of experimentation, I'm still lost as how this would work in a live setting.
