so I don't use the amp models or overdrives, but the compressors, noise reduction, chorus, flange, phaser, univibe and delay effects are all very high quality

And the instructions do not list the effects available, nor the many adjustments that they have, so you will do lots of experimenting.

Once you are within a preset, you can select a particular effect (such as a delay or overdrive pedal), and then the footpedals will turn that effect on and off.

The effects sound very good for the most part and I love experimenting with them, especially delay.

This will get you dialed in to great sounds for use in any situation and has good EQ, noise reduction, compression etc in addition to amp cabinet modeling, reverbs, choruses, and good "sometimes" effects like flanger, phaser, etc

There is a little to much menu diving if you want to manipulate the effects or change the order, but I suppose that's unavoidable for this type of pedal.

I mean, I got a 30 second looper that runs parallel to the rhythm section, realistic drum rhythms, really good effects, ease of use, and very respectable, heck, almost impressive build quality and materials for being mass produced in China

You would have been unlikely to find a more staunch opponent of (affordable) multi-effects processors than me, until I came across the Zoom G1on.

I'll probably just pick up a low end keyboard to play through it, because the effects sound pretty good with any generic sound source.

The on-board looper is the easiest looper I've ever used, but it is also the only downside I've run into so far on this pedal in that it only records and plays back in mono - once you hear back the loop you just laid down played back, gone is the lush stereo effect you heard while playing it

and I actually like the features, tones and patches it has, the rhythm effects are quite good and also the looper is worth a praise

I bought this inexpensive multi-effect because I was looking for similar units that I could use to play along songs using Sound Surgeon software for slowing down records

runs through batteries quickly it does have nice effects and all and sounds amazing but wouldnt buy.

Each effect, like the boxes they emulate, have various adjustable parameters, so having this pedal is a little like having a hundred “stomp-boxes” in your collection

The G1Xon is a good addition to your pedal gear, is awesome for the beginner guitar player looking for great sounds and effects and an excellent addition for experience guitar player and producers

On the good side, it has a really good envelope filter effect and a great octave preset.

Many effects work better when turned down (I.e. a little salt goes a long ways)

I just love my new looper, I bought it as a looper and not as a guitar effects pedal, although it has amazing effects and presets, you can change the effects from a preset, and change the name of the preset

If you just need something to jam on or something simple to give your guitar a nice effect for recording at home, for the price you just can't beat this.

However, these are relatively rare, and only seem to appear with some of the more complex modulation effects in a long chain.

It has tons of great effects and it has a built in wah pedal.

I would recommend to anyone who wants a good multi-effects unit for a low price
