Zoom H1n Handy Recorder (2018 Model)

    • But compared to other microphones and recording options (ie, $100 usb mike into a laptop), the H1 falls short.
    • Also, I highly recommend the Caseling Zoom H1 hard case - for under $10 on Amazon
    • I really like the Zoom H1
    • Instead, purchase a portable digital recorder, the Zoom H1 with a Giant Squid Audio Lab Omnidirectional Microphone, an external lavalier microphone.
    • After the testing, I concluded that the Zoom H1 would not meet our needs and at nearly $25 more expensive, it had to go back.
    • There are some reports that the H1 is draining batteries faster than normal even while the H1 is off
    • I placed the Zoom H1 so that the dual stereo recording head hung off the edge of my sheet music stand (oddly enough, I played around with it on a tripod but the music stand worked the best) which was about 2 feet from the harp.
    • The price isn't too steep for the quality of sound and features you'll enjoy with The Zoom H1.
    • The H1 solves the UI problem and brings it down to a very cozy and transportable size.
    • and it was enough to know everything about every function of this Zoom H1
    • But the H1 is portable and fairly inconspicuous.
    • Just serach for "Best Zoom H1 Review
    • From farther away even without background noise, the Zoom H1 did not pick up well.
    • While it doesn't have as many features as some of the other portable reorders in the market, the H1 is easy to use and has pretty good microphones.
    • You can't go wrong with with a ZOOM H1!
    • The H1 is just wayyyy easier to use.
    • As a performer and an audio and film creator, the H1 may not have the XLR capability but it is extremely handy for discrete recordings (filming, live shows, body mics, etc) and as a device to carry around for recording ideas or samples.
    • I absolutely love my Zoom H1
    • The Zoom H1 is impressively adaptable to different situations; large rooms, small rooms and windy outdoor areas it has returned great audio with very little need to mess with the controls
    • The H1 showed up like an external drive.
    • Get the H1 Accessory Pack as well but also get a RedHead windscreen (or similar) to boot; the included windscreen in the Accessory Pack is great for voice/plosives and all but horrible for wind noise (which is not surprising since it's a foam windscreen)
    • Easy to use with good clear sound and a huge bang for your buck, this H1 might be your best option for portable recording
    • The Zoom H1 is really quite capable.
    • I love my Zoom H1
    • The Zoom H1 uses one AA battery, and will drain it in as little as 4 hours of use, however
    • I discovered the H1 isn't praised for its outer looks, features, and buttons, but for the quality of the recording, which is really what matters for the price you're paying
    • The Zoom H1 failed miserably.
    • Transferring the digitized files to a computer is uneventful - the H1 looks like an external drive when you connect it to a USB port.
    • The Zoom H1 had easier to access controls and just felt more reliable to me
    • The H1 is very sensitive to noises on the case
    • Like most recorders, the H1's sensitive mics are prone to handling noise
    • I will probably just take the second H1 and attach it to my camera and record background noise that way
    • Well, based on my personal experience, the Zoom H1 is only adequate.
    • A quick way to find if you have a defective H1 is to simply check the battery within a day
    • The H1 would be a no-brainer favorite for an audio professional's "audio scratch pad" with it's remarkable sound quality, but alas, it's not the most solidly made unit out there
    • For me, however, the Zoom H1 fell short of my needs
    • I knew the H1 would be similarly cheap but at least I could depend on the quality of performance and reliability, since I've been satisfied with my Zooms H2
    • I really wanted to like the Zoom H1
    • Love the zoom H1's
    • Over all, the Zoom H1 falls very short.
    • As a Sound Designer I often have to record voice overs for shows and the H1 has made my life so much easier.
    • But if you need something you can carry around with you and quickly record something with as little hassle as possible, you will love the Zoom H1.
    • The H1 is incredibly sensitive, so it takes a little planning to get the best out of it.
    • The price isn't too steep for the quality of sound and features you'll enjoy with The Zoom H1.
    • The Zoom H1 is the best all-around device for making significant improvements to an audio setup
    • I really like the Zoom h1, its a great cheap audio recorder, the build quality is the only issue I had with it, I droped it, after that the mp3 recordings became inaudible
    • I would not recommend this product because of this problem and the fact that the H1 had similar problems with battery life
    • My H1 has a power drain problem.
    • I am extremely happy with my decision and will be using Zoom H1 well into the future!
    • I am extremely happy with my decision and will be using Zoom H1 well into the future!
    • The Zoom H1 is very sensitive and would pick up the noise from your motor lens
    • The Zoom H1, though, sounds great and achieves the same purpose while also filling those aforementioned extra roles that I never really expected it to
    • The H1 is cheaper, smaller and less complicated to use.
    • The build seems a bit light and cheap but do not let that fool you, the Zoom H1 is capable of capturing high quality audio for your projects!Pros-LightweightHigh quality dual micsEasy intuitive interfaceMicro SD slot is highly accessableNot too bigCons
    • I highly recommend the Zoom H1!
    • I LOVE the Zoom H1!

    • This H1 is just right, and the simplistic design and commands are very intuitive
    • I enjoy the H1, and it is what it is
    • The Zoom H1 is my favorite for using with a lav mic to put on a groom, the officiant, or a podium during a wedding ceremony
    • Duct taped the Zoom H1 to the preachers notebook and got every word, crystal clear...and in Final Cut
    • If that's the case, just connect a lav mic (buy RODE, don't waste your time with anything else if you plan to use it more than 3 times in a year), and the talent can keep the Zoom H1 in their pocket
    • I originally ordered the Zoom H1 because I liked the smaller size
    • The H1 is CHEAP.
    • Plus, the Zoom h1 is super easy to use, especially for someone who has no knowledge of audio.
    • The Zoom H1 is highly popular and I see
    • Over all I love my H1.
