This is a great little product, I love it to bits, but it should come with a caution regarding its limitations due to handling noise around the thin plastic housing

The Zoom H1 is a cheap,toylike product with very few options when compared to other recorders in the same price range

Zoom can, then, even develop and sell the complementary mics (lapel, face boom, in hair, etc).I short, the preamp and the sample rate/bit depth is what makes this a great product -- that and the fact that it is really "handy".

Theres nothing wrong with the sound quality or general design and operation, overall it would be a GREAT product of it wasn't so cheaply built

Having said that this product is a very great product and I have no difficulty to give it four star and recommending it to anyone how is looking for a great recorder at a reasonably affordable price.

It's a great recording product if you think cell phones have good sound quality

because it was absolute crap, it wasn't a product to record with, but more like to get a cheap alternative for guitar sounds and presets that sound absolutely digital
