The Zoom H1 isn’t large and comes in a simple enough box, they include a battery for you to get started with, and some typical inclusions (warranty and information literature), as well as some unanticipated extras (like a microSD card and free sound software)

If you take the time to learn how to use it and adjust the input gain appropriately, you can get really great sound from this

The auto gain is sometimes rather aggressive and noticeable as it increases or decreases but overall the sound is good
