  • But a nice well-done photo (say a Titmouse on a branch) will be perfect for your needs
  • I like the Photo, but feel that Apple is not taking care of its customers.
  • This ipod is amazing, and the photos actually look great on it
  • Was I ever surprised when my husband purchased this nifty photo iPod for me as a birthday present when they first came out on the market.
  • The full color screen has decent resolution and makes for a handy, portable photo album.

Reviews around money (5.00 of 5)

  • Let me re-download a song for which I've already paid good money
  • Well, after wanting an Ipod for years, and years, and scrimping up enough money to afford the $550 price tag (because you can't have *just the

Reviews around book (5.00 of 5)

  • The audio books that I had previously downloaded for my Audible Otis player worked fine when loaded onto the iPod using iTunes for Windows
  • The rewind button does not seem work reliably with the Audible books and it often loses the bookmark when I return to continue listening
  • When I was looking for a compatible mp3 player for my audible book downloads, it was months of looking.
  • , I LOVED it and still do, but found out that it couldn't do audible books (I have about 300 of them).

Reviews around access (5.00 of 5)

  • am sure that any 5 year old or high school student can provide a go around or a better way to use technology, but if you are an audio-nut but not a computer-nut, this gadget is as close to perfect as it gets.
  • The best case is iPod Armour, an aluminium case with total protection, stops scratching, flip top full access with slots for USB on bottom and on top for hold button/headphones etc
  • My bonus daughter gave me a wonderful turquoise leather flip case that allows easy access to the wheel and an unobstructed view of the screen

Reviews around sound (4.42 of 5)

  • Is Apple moving back to 30 years old technology???I am sure that a lot of people thinking about it, but they are still buying Ipods because of the marketing and good sound of the unit.
  • The Apple store staff in Atlanta told us to buy a cassette adapter for car use, said it was much more reliable/as good sound as the FM transmitters, I found the Sony adapter to be way better than the Belkin and exactly the same price
  • I have it wired direct in my truck and the sound is awesome.
  • I'm also, like a lot of audiophiles, opposed to digital equipment in general and prefer the warmer fuller sound of analog sources (like my very tricked out turntable).
  • The hard drive quit working and just makes little clicking sounds

Reviews around unit (4.26 of 5)

  • Apple's only service option is to send them the failed unit and $
  • I realy recomend this unit its the best Mp 3 player I ever tried.
  • I have really enjoyed my I pod until I started to get errors in January 2006
  • Aside from the unit scratching really easy (just buy a case) it is good to go.
  • This unit sounds noticeably better than my 40GB G4 iPod did.

Reviews around feature (4.26 of 5)

  • Now granted, the photo has a color screen and other features that the XClef doesn't, but the XClef has some really good features that the ipod doesn't...at least that don't cost extra to add-on.
  • It comes back if I toggle play/pause or reset the device- no feature to error-check and repair the iTunes database on the device
  • Being able to see the album art (which I copy from Amazon's site) is a cool feature
  • quality*Could have a more creative menu with pics and etc with its screen quality (maybe even video - but i think its a fun rather than useful feature)*could be more scratch-resistant in my opinion (but it has had some harsh use from me, im sorry to say - all scratched, but still working nearly perfectly
  • It's noiseless, had excellent design features, and is powered through the comptuer--another words 'invisible' when it should be.

Reviews around mp3 (4.16 of 5)

  • When I was looking for a compatible mp3 player for my audible book downloads, it was months of looking.
  • At least the iPod has this feature - some other photo-capable MP3 players I've researched could only display on the native display.
  • Beyond the scratching, which is insane for a fifth generation product by any company, the product was an excellent mp3 player
  • They all pretty much use relatively severe mp3 compression.
  • It's an excellent mp3 hard drive based player, the color display is so good and photos look great.

Reviews around music (3.89 of 5)

  • It is one of the costliest music players out there!
  • All in all, I must say, it is a pretty good little music player.
  • Converting your music (burn, rerip or use a converter) would be necessary.
  • (Another recommendation: don't use the Apple proprietary music format in case you experience what we did and don't want to give Apple a second chance afterward
  • True to its promise it is a great music player and the itunes software is intuitive and makes it easy to create playlists.

Reviews around device (3.70 of 5)

  • How can a company that creates such magical devices leave such an important
  • Also, the idea of loading all of my digital photos on a portable device was appealing
  • But whoever thought 10 years ago, we would be able to have this cool device in the first place?
  • It comes back if I toggle play/pause or reset the device- no feature to error-check and repair the iTunes database on the device
  • Also, I wish the iPod was password protected so you can keep your files safe from being viewed if you misplace or lose the device.

Reviews around product (3.55 of 5)

  • In theory it would be a great product, except that my first iPod of this model had its hard drive go bad only a few months after I got it.
  • Other than the irritating constant need to reset and the very occasional freeze which needs resetting on a computer the ipod is a superb must have product
  • I recommend this product for anyone wanting an easy and convenient way to bring a months worth of music with them and have it available on the fly
  • worked well, packages came quickly and I loved the service , it is really good product not bad at all, I would recommend it to anyone

Reviews around thing (3.53 of 5)

  • First thing, it's absolutely gorgeous (& I bought a protective cover immediately to keep it that way)
  • But the most woeful thing about the iPod, is that it's too expensive and it is almost getting overpriced
  • Its a great thing to be able to download all your music in to one single unit and the feedom to carrying it with you on trips is great
  • The worst thing, the sound is par with FM radio quality on all my songs despite recording them at very high bit rates
  • I purchased Apples camera connector, $29? and the world travel adapter kit from Apple also, the travel adaptors allow you to simply change the style of plug that is on the power adaptor that comes with your iPod or your laptop for that matter, the cool thing is you don't need a power converter for your Apple products, just pop off the plug replace it with the one for the part of the

Reviews around cd (1.95 of 5)

  • I ripped all my CDs, converted to AAC and deleted the MP3s to save space on my hard drive.
  • With drag and drop, just make a folder for an artist, name the subfolders for albums, and rip the CD or save the music files to those album subfolders, that's it, your done!
  • Just like the Sony Walkman was the number one CD player in its time, the Apple Ipod has become the favorite of all current digital music players.
  • I have an expansive CD collection, and this is the first IPod that had enough memory for me to consider buying it.
  • It is more likely to lose a CD due to scratches and skips than it is to lose a song in an Ipod.

  • It's an excellent mp3 hard drive based player, the color display is so good and photos look great.
  • I have really enjoyed my I pod until I started to get errors in January 2006
  • Overall, I would say that it is a good player, but as with anything that has a hard drive, it's rather delicate.
  • The hard drive quit working and just makes little clicking sounds
  • I've used the iPod 60GB as a travel hard drive that I use to store digital images.
