The 1st generation iPod Touch offers a beautiful large display, a cutting-edge interface, and Wi-Fi Internet. This device supports music, photos, videos, iTunes music downloads, web browsing, email access, and m...
It is a wonderful designed product but has two mais drawbacks.
My wife is picky but she really seems to Love the I-Pod Touch 16 GB (1st Generation)
The iPod touch is a top-shelf geek toy, and the most polished handheld multimedia device on the market, with seamless integration, flawless function, and a very well designed interface
As other reviewers have noted, this is a beautifully designed, sleek, highly functional product
The email application is smartly designed: easy to set up, intuitively configured, and I can even open attachments.
This great little device was revolutionary in media playback
Apple really has created a phenomenal device in the Touch
How incredibly useful this device would be if you could load it up with news clippings or books or web content or e-mails or friggin' notes you typed up yourself... but you can't.

The iPod Touch is not only a great device for music, but an even better device for video.

I love the email and web applications; both are easy to use, and fast.
Even though you MAY NOT have internet all the time, the applications and ability to watch videos is a great time killer
I can listen to music, watch shows and movies from iTunes, read my email, browse the web, write down some notes, setup appointments, watch youtube, read books from Amazon via the Kindle, as well as being ale to play thousands of different games, use thousands of different apps etc
Even for those who need to pay, the price is very reasonable (mostly from $0.99 to $5)
Talk about quality and cheap price
Price was reasonable but would have wanted to pay less because of it being a 1st gen and the scratches.
This 16GB size seems like the right choice considering price and availablity of space
I'm also very happy that this is available at what I consider to be a much more reasonable price for a 16GB Flash player (at $320 which is what I got mine for).
I just can't recommend this neat little player until they fix the problem.

I recommend it to people who are not interested in games but still interested in internet capabilities and a really cool mp3 player
It's an amazing wireless device...easy to use and a great MP3 and video player.
Make sure you check out the FREE apps at iTunes - love the "allrecipes.com" app that makes deciding what's for dinner a game.
I only have access to a crappy App Store.
The apps available make the ipod touch a truly enjoyable product
I do enjoy all the apps you can download from Apple's app store, and it's great for playing video games -- so all in all, I'd say it was a worthy purchase.
There are tons of free apps to download (go to itunes, apps).

If you're traveling and want to check your e-mail, it means stopping at a Starbucks or a Borders, and you won't get alerted right when your e-mails arrive like an iPhone user would

Even if that phone happens to feature far superior phone features and camera?

Especially with its beautiful screen, great for watching video in a travel context, you'd think there would be more space to put video in.
The screen started freezing up and now won't even turn on

To top it off; that one was actually a replacement for another Ipod touch because the first one I got had a phone jack that broke within a month of normal use, and then this one had a faulty screen due to "water damage" and now Apple conveniently doesn't have to replace it anymore
He finds it easy to use, loves the touch screen ;has many features I was unaware of
Dang if the screen is now frozen, "slide to unlock" will not respond and I can't even get the stupid thing to turn off. for about 30
So I sit there twisting the thing to and fro trying to get the alignment I want
This thing holds up perfectly and works just how its described
It is an amazing product one thing that bugged me was that there is no inner speaker which they started adding them in the second generation of iPod and this seller is amazing too.
One nice thing is that you can turn the screen off while listening to music or an audiobook
Mine holds all my music, a half dozen feature-length films, all my photos, and enough e-books to keep me reading for months, and I still have about 5GB of the formatted capacity of 15-ish GB available
A few other people have commented on they have broken theirs, but like the original iPod, I am just not sure how.

Other people complained about lack of external buttons for controls and I agree with that
