the ribbon controller mod and pitch wheels are sensitive and high quality (bonus, if you're using them with the roland boutique series, the mod wheel will stay where you set it when using the keystep, but will return to zero on the boutique unit, so you have both action styles available at once)
It's small, high quality, easy to play on and the keys aren't slippery and also don't stick to my fingers
worked well, seemed nice enough quality...however, it broke after 1 week of gentle home use

I thought I read somewhere that the sequencer buttons could be mapped to work as DAW transport control, but nope
All in all, despite the lack of proper DAW transport controls, the Keystep is in a class of its own in terms of quality, build, and most importantly, play-ability
Secondly, the ‘Stop’ button (one of four buttons controlling the seq/arp functions) permanently glows bright white like a 3000 gigawatt lamp

It's small, so if you're used to a grand piano size and action, you should just buy a grand piano
But this keyboard looks quite solid, receiving dis-proportional good review, also a nice size; having 7 more than the more common 25 keys, and these are also larger than a "mini" keyboard . . .

It allows you virtually unlimited sequences, even when playing live on stage (if you are brave enough)
I have hooked up an old drum machine with a sync out, connect sync in to the Keystep, have the Keystep play a sequence to the modular and play the Waldorf Pulse 2 via MIDI.That's pretty sweet for something in this price range

if like me you won’t ever use the seq/arp, you can’t reassign any of the buttons and controls to more useful functions in your DAW
Four stars, is a very versatile keyboard, i'm very satisfief, but only going to tell you, what are the bad things, the connectivity is huge, and the functions are awesome, i'm only hide a star because it has by default almost no hard sensitivity to the keys, so when you play very loud peaks suddenly, it costs to control it to play something
n’t like: none of the controls are re-assignable,

It's not all fabulous, though, The pitch bend touchstrip isn't nearly as good as a proper wheel, although the mod strip works OK
The lack of physical wheels takes some getting used to, but the pitch bender allows you do make some interesting trill type effects that a mechanical wheel isn't fast enough to make
I didn't like the touchpad pitch/mod wheels either
