The light up features are fun to look at and make it appear more expensive than it actually is
There is also the ability to upgrade to the full featured Serato software, which has many more features and is definitely recommended if you want to get more serious about getting into DJ work.
I should mention that in addition to the normal output, there is also a "booth output" with a volume control in case you are on a stage or situation where you can't hear the output mix, it just gives you the same mix as the main output, which is a nice feature
There are so many wonderful features to this that I can't even begin to name them all
This is a nice little controller with some neat features
The feel heavy and great quality, with LED indicators inside the wheels that sync up with the beat that has been analyzed and matched by the Serato software

Would definitely recommend this for the novice dj, or for a more experienced looking for a reasonably priced, easy to use controller to add to their equipment.

I personally find it easier to work with than the more popular Pioneer offering, however at the same price the Pioneer is better quality, has more features and has higher ratings

Hercules makes it very clear on the included documentation that AMD processors are unreliable and they cannot recommend them

I believe this is the first Hercules controller to work with Serato and even the included version of the software is excellent to get you started using the hardware and start learning how to sync tracks and work with all the effects, samples, etc
I really enjoy the hercules jogvision controller i would like to see something on bigger scale.

Pressing buttons to distort sound and que in drops and samples are cool and all but the ergonomics for entry level controllers like this are for learning not performance.
you can use the buttons to the left and right of the loop button to halve or double the length of the loop

When a track is playing, the screen on each jog wheel displays 2 easy-to-read concentric rings:- the larger ring (on the outer edge of the screen) rotates like a motor-driven 33⅓ or 45 rpm turntables, with the rotation speed varying according to the pitch adjustment; and - the smaller ring (in the center) indicates the position within the track, represented by way of 16 segments: the number of illuminated segments shows the current position in the track - from 1 segment at the beginning, to 16 segments at the end
