Netflix didn't work at 1080p on the pi 3 model b because Netflix only uses the CPU for rendering the videos, so the higher clock rate on the CPU is a must for 1080p streaming (I was streaming at 720p before)
These are great little single board computers that give you an option to use them for a variety of things
Fifth, IMHO the design is poor engineering as the whole board runs warm - the design should have engineereda way to run without heating up the board - a built in fan would be a step forward
Third, you need SD card burner if your PC doesn't have a port for micro-SD cardFourth, board runs warm without anything running
The small performance bump over the regular pi3B actually matters for my use scenario, good quality board, good shipping speed etc etc.
This Pi seems much, much faster than the previous P3 B models
The Pi is amazing, but it's everything CanaKit has done to seemingly sabotage the motherboard from actually working properly is where the poor rating applies
I'm not sure why the non-B plus Raspberry Pi's had no issues with the switches
Also, this is a barebones kit - all you get is the pi, three heat sinks, and power supply.
I got lucky since the Pi is sturdy as heck, but this isn't a risk that should be taken when a little pit of security and padding can go a LONG way to making sure you don't get a faulty Pi due to the motherboard getting damaged
I love this thing, between RetroPie and using it for a media center to watch my movie collection, this gorgeous little powerhouse hasn't been switched off since I bought her, and I loved her so much I bought a second one 2 weeks later to teach my daughter programming, and so she can have a media center in her room as well
Thats not a bad thing since the non plus versions run perfectly for my application.
