With the Canon lens, it takes great shots and although I've owned other digital cameras, this is the first SLR camera and it is great to have so much control and instant review of the photo
The shots are absolutely stunning.
I consider these minor issues given the purpose of the camera is to help you take great shots
With those point and shoot, you have missed way more great shots than you realized
For my first camera ive gotton some great shots with this thing versatile easy to use pretty
I believe I do not need the potentially ineffective sensor cleaning feature, live view, eye proximity detector, extra focal points, or the extra resolution
Probably the best features are the number of modes that are available, and the ease of use.
It's hard to say what the one best feature of this camera is because there really are more "best" features than one
The crisp vibrant colors and the many features on this camera have been amazing.
Although it may seem like a trivial feature, the dial navigation on the 20D has been immensely more convenient and practical when shooting compared to pressing the buttons on the Rebel or the XT.
I've never had any of the pictures developed (I bought a digital camera for a reason), but image wise, the pictures are great quality.
good camera, very accurate, it is recommended that ultrasonic lenses and full frame cameras because with these the image is very good, as 28 -105
The resolution is great, the images are as good as I could reasonably expect from my camera skills, and the total paackage operates well together
The best merit for this camera is foremost image quality.
The camera interface is straight forward, and the auto-focus will allow many to use this camera and produce great quality images without the need to change the settings
The camera was so easy to use and the quality of the pictures were amazing!
And is image quality not perhaps the most important quality of a camera
If you are considering going digital go for it, especially if you are tired of high cost developing and a lot of times poor quality.
But the quality of colors and resolution is simply unbelievable!I highly recommend this camera for anyone wanting to get into SLRs for a very good price and almost unlimited expandability.
This camera has also offered up incomparable quality and functionality
The XT is great for isolating subjects in the shot.+ Battery lasts far longer than any other digital cameras I've had (I suspect b/c it lacks the preview window)
I strongly recommend this product if you are considering a DSLR.
I will surely order from again and know I will get a great product
Nice product, great price, but does not come with a CF card
Priced right, unlike some overpriced D-SLR out there, probably because Canon sells many more units.6
I've only used point and shoot cameras, and this camera is a great way to get into "actual" photography-where you actually have to do something to make the pictures turn out well, as opposed to just taking pictures and accepting the mediocre images.
Right now I am using the automatic features, but I hope to work my way up to the other features
Im not sure I credit that to the size of the body or the simplistic way of altering a feature
each way)and have even tried to "fool" the camera by taking portrait type shots in "Sports" mode and etc.
The best way to buy this camera is body only and then buy a good lens.
The colors and detail in the pictures from this camera are top notch, much like alot of Canon cameras
I have never seen such stunning quality or realistic colors from a Point & Shoot
) you can get a great little 50mm fixed lens that is pretty sharp from about f1.8 - f8 and it has great color saturation
The pictures were much, much clearer and crisper and the color was much more like actual colors in the store.
Most of the pictures i took with this camera and basic len did not even have to be adjusted in a photo program the color and contrast was already great
The XT is great for isolating subjects in the shot.+ Battery lasts far longer than any other digital cameras I've had (I suspect b/c it lacks the preview window)

The basic EF-S 18-55mm that came with the camera was not sufficient for me to fully utilize the camera
, I also like I can use my ef-s, ef, and even my super zoom 'L' lenses on it
we took various types of pictures during the EID Holidays and i can assure u all that when compared to your CyberShots and those simple cameras, this is truly a pro's level camera!
The LCD however, is very difficult to see in sunlight as compared to the D70 which has a better qulity LCD.Picture quality: to the naked eye..the pictures are fantastic
So go to you local camera store and take a couple of sample shots with the different D-SLRs available before buying online.
I had been preferring the D70 b/c of the "better" kit lens.
Priced right, unlike some overpriced D-SLR out there, probably because Canon sells many more units.6
LCD can be hard to see (both pictures and camera settings) in bright sunlight
-SLR.The body gets five stars for meeting the goal of a nicely capable D-SLR that tends to get slight nods over any other, such as Nikon's D40 series, which comes with a reasonable lens
The XT doesn't feel as durable and substantial as the Pentax *ist D, or the Nikon D70, or some of the offerings from Minolta and Olympus.
The only bad thing is that you may have to by a new hard drive to fit all your new data.
The Sony 828 when hooked up to a computer will show up like a drive and you can easily copy the pictures to your hard drive
I have a feeling my 160 GB hard drive may not support me for long...
