I don't know if this is a good choice for a beginner price wise (1200.00),
I used a Zeiss 35mm 1.2 lens and the pictures look just as good as I wouldUnlike older models
I was trying to balance amazing quality with a relatively decent price, understanding that DSLRs are or expensive in the long run than point & shoot cameras since Ive owned a few Canon DSLRs over the years

The D5600 is the most similar and also has a fully articulating screen
Loving the range of focus points and the rotating screen as it's harder for me to get low as I get older
The screen is fully articulating which means you can flip up and down and to the side .This is great for setting your composition because it means you can take photos from up high or down low without having to look through the viewfinder
As with last years model, the T7i has a brilliant rear LCD screen
I love the flip out touch screen and the touch to focus feature which is helpful during video

A few years ago, getting good autofocus in video with a DSLR was un heard of, but now with this new system it works great

Sure theres not 4k video recording, but i wouldnt trade for the great dual pixel autofocus in video
Autofocus is also much improved and should get you through most situations, although I did find it struggled a little bit in very low lighting conditions

Since my Canon g40 camcorder has excellent video quality ( for a half inch sensor), I wanted to find out why Canon cameras, including their mirrorless have bad video IQ
Very good video quality, I use it to make YouTube videos and even the occasional video
Don't go for trash bundle package with camera, quality will not be good
The quality of the Rode mike is a lot better than the built in microphone on the camera.

so could my point-and-shoot Canon camera, but their old DSLRs actually didn't have that feature, but now (well, since like the
When I was doing research on what features it has and what it is missing compared to the pro-grade DSLRs that are considered "current" right now, I was surprised to find very little
The features are amazing and it is better to buy on B & H with the 55-250mm (discounted) lens which is in the bundle for half price!
but I found only this camera at this price available in market with great features
If you're up an up and coming blogger thats going to be a great feature for you
I bought this as a slight upgrade from my t6 (until I can afford a full frame at least)
For this reason, sometimes it's not worth upgrading from one of these cameras to the next until at least a few generations have past (meaning if you have a T5i, it's not really a giant leap forward to upgrade to a T6i)

Step up from a smartphone or compact camera and see the difference
With an optical viewfinder to see exactly what you'll capture, 45-point all cross-type AF for accurate results, dual pixel CMOS AF with Phase detection and more, the EOS Rebel t7i is one of the most advanced EOS rebels yet.
