You'll be saving money and getting the full power of the full frame sensor plus a myriad of helpful features that will put you at the forefront of whatever anyone else is producing these days... just stay focused on being a good photographer, which is much more than what equipment you are using anyway
Despite the fact that the camera has many desirable features with the flippy screen, ability to use extenders, focus speed, handling, and touch sensitive system controls etc., the dynamic range is so bad there is basically no way to compensate for it
Well, I don't disagree, but there are enough features, and it's a camera that some pro's keep as a backup to their 1DX or 5D MkIV's
It has a lot of cool features, canon has good lenses, and color
Lots of good features when you can figure out how to access them.
I routinely hover over the shoulder of hair and makeup artists to get POV photos, and when the dance floor is crammed I put my camera overhead and point it downwards to get a wide-angle, top-down view of people

I normally shoot with a 50mm 1.4 and the pictures are still crazy sharp
I love this camera, it takes amazing pictures and very good in low light
The viewfinder is probably my favorite area of improvement, with the updated system that you can find in recent DSLRs since at least the 7D Mark II.My final advice is not to rely on near gear to take great pictures
Dispite what is being said this camera produces awesome pictures.
Previously my pictures were crooked, now I have a chance to fix it before taking a shot
The 6D Mark ii has been amazing, it has everything I loved about my
The 6D Mark II has made electronic leveling and grid display available through its "intelligent viewfinder" which is a really neat feature
The 6D Mark II camera, just like its predecessor, is only compatible with Canon EF lenses and Sigma DG lenses
Then I discovered the Panasonic GH4 and the Metabones adapter which allowed me to use my Canon glass on it while retaining the full-frame look AND having an articulated LCD screen, and as a bonus 4K video (I was really getting now into video production)
I really liked the Canon 6D, but the 6D Mark II is much better
Although I love the new articulating screen, the sensor and its poor dynamic range has really led me to being dissatisfied with this camera
While I understand the complaints regarding the sensor, I do not feel it is an issue for me sufficient to justify switching to another brand or spending 65% more for 5D Mark IVs
While I understand the complaints regarding the sensor, I do not feel it is an issue for me sufficient to justify switching to another brand or spending 65% more for 5D Mark IVs
Also, in the 5 years Canon had to improve the sensor it seems the dynamic range on this new model has not improved at all

When the 6D Mark II was released a had read a few reviews about the poor dynamic range and low light performance but did not think that could have been correct
Yes, I have read about the dynamic range issues, but I didn't buy this camera to shoot at ISO 100
When the 6D Mark II was released a had read a few reviews about the poor dynamic range and low light performance but did not think that could have been correct
But, if it has poor dynamic range, marginal video and a small focusing pattern then it is not a breakthrough
For me the dynamic range issues that some people mentioned were not a problem
