The case is good quality but really doesn’t fit specifically for the garmin 820.

I recommend this unit as well as a GPS when out riding the Backcountry.

The inreach mini rattles around inside the case just like the case will in what ever larger container so it doesn't seem like it would give much protection.

It seems purpose built to fit the inReach and its charging cable, giving excellent protection in a small package

I love this safety set up-- he got lost in WY one year and had to stay overnight until search and rescue could get to him

Perfect would be this case plus a bit of bouyancy, a foam pad or something that would allow the case to float--and a bright color to the case that would make it more visible if lost

Because I use the inReach primarily for canoeing trips, I added a bright yellow flotation lanyard to the zipper to give the case the visibility and bouyancy it lacks.

Its a very loose fit that defeats the purpose for using it
