I used this to replace the stock speaker in my Fender Super Champ X2
Nice, Fender- chimey cleans are where the speaker is at its best, but it handles the overdrive pretty well also
I replaced the stock speaker in my Fender Super Champ X2 with this baby
If you're looking for the classic Fender sparkle, you may want to look at Jensen or another brand, but you can't go wrong with these if you're looking for a slightly warmer tone.
In-law got me this speaker for Christmas, I loved it so much that I got another one for my 1978 Fender Super Reverb.
Currently Eminence recommends their Patriot "The Copperhead", however it would seem the majority of guitar players focus on annoying blues playing or boring country, which the Copperhead would be fine
If you are looking for a darker tone, I would recommend the Eminence Big Ben speaker as it tends to be less bright sounding

It also has a nice speaker break up when pushed, which also has improved as it has broken in
Clean and clear with a nice smooth, controllable break-up starting near 12 oclock
For example, The sound from loud amps like Marshals and Fenders are very irritating to my ears, so I based my choice on reviews and information shared by amazon customers as well as on other websites and forums

I'm not talking muted or dark, just a sweet clear midrange and hi frequency's with sold bass
The lows are solid and not boomy, the midrange just right, and very creamy chimey highs

I am no expert, but I would describe the speaker as having a better than average bass response, an OK Mid response, and a slightly better than average High response
They remind me of something old with a nice even frequency response.

I thought about selling this amp because I didn't like the muddy tones I was getting out of it and thought it might need new tubes.
More efficient, love the tone, improved the amp so much
Better tone, overall louder, and now a 160 mph wind can't blow the amp over... it's a tank!
Overall, this is a great speaker that has greatly improved my blues tone.
The CTS speakers could be a bit harsh sounding at times, but the 1058's have a nice balance tone
The circuits were separated into a stereo set up to be able to plug in two different guitar amps to enhance sound

The bad unit also had intermittent coil rubbing which resulted in some odd sounds
I suspect it will handle much more power than the 25 watt Frontman has...since the Frontman costs $100 new, I didn't want to spend too much on a replacement speaker...as good as this one sounds, I am now wondering if I should have spent another $10-20 for the next one up the line!
