I find the Portal to be great for talking to one of my friends in another country, it works delivers great video and sound quality.

It's a lot easier (and clearer) to use the hands-free Portal than to hold a phone in the air for long periods of time

We connected the Portal to Amazon Alexa and it mostly works with that, although sometimes it does not understand the voice commands

While the Portal isn't perfect, it does have some advantages when compared to other popular video chat options

My mother loves her portal I bought here , we have a long distance relationship with family and this was this was the much needed gift we needed

I have this in our kitchen now and when people call the camera follows me around in a smooth way so that I can talk to family while I cook.

(In positive news, my kids don't have to fight over who gets to hold it since it stands on its own).All in all, it has been a great way to stay connected with family living across the country

Touch screen is very helpful, since it feels like a tablet but with many other helpful features

The Smart Move camera feature had a minor lag when I moved but nothing terrible, just a bit noticeable

The Portal enables good quality video calling, with a camera that tracks you as you move around the room, and it does this very well

I have not tried the portal for other functions, but the quality of the calls has been good

The sound quality is SOOOO much better (no struggling to hear)

They added a button to disable the camera, which I don't use, and a little plastic cover you can slide over the camera, which I also don't use.
